It is amusing that young Trump wanted to be in Manhattan when his father was content to be an outsider. And now he has made such a mess of things he can no longer make Manhattan his home and is instead relegated to being an outsider from Florida / New Jersey

She was breaking into a secure area where the Vice President was located. She was with a crowd that had been heard chanting death threats toward the Vice President.

I give facts as much as possible. I don't rely on right wing trash news for answers. I had to laugh at one poster calling the Associated Press liberal news. LOL One of the oldest news organizations in America.

It used to be that everyone got their news from the same sources. That was when Trump supporters most commonly believe America 'was' great. The news sources built a solid reputation as being reliable most of the time. As soon as news became tailored to please specific audiences, the story lines diverged. Now, the news is personalized to the point that each individual can be told only what he/she wishes to believe based on past viewing habits. We can no longer agree on the facts, so we are bitterly divided.

Hopefully, people will become more aware of how this dynamic works to divide us, learn to overcome it, and realize that we are all really in this together.

your lies and lame excuses for murder are stale......if there was really a single person there who believed anyone intended to kill Pence or anyone else it may have been this officer, but his ignorance is not a defense against a murder charge.....

Actually a reasonable belief you are protecting someone from great bodily harm is a defense.

Agreed. It's already been noted that the position of the shooting was a final barrier to Congressional reps. Who those reps are remains unknown, but it would surprise me if it was McCarthy back there screaming on his phone to Trump.

The embarrassment of Babbitt being shot to protect him would be a main reason to be against an investigation. I love irony.
