Algerian Olympian withdraws from Games due to potential matchup with Israeli competit

All valid points. So qualify at home, and make a statement that you are boycotting the Olympics. If your nation isn't boycotting, then you can make a statement and allow a fellow teammate to go in your place.

Absolutely not. It isn't the fault of moral athletes that the Olympic Committee choose to include a racist state which is in breach of more UN resolutions than every other country in the world combined. If more athletes had the moral fiber to refuse to associate with Izraeli racists then the OC would have to think about excluding Izrael from the games- as it should. Your suggestion that they should ' be nice ' to Izraelis is ridiculous.

The fact that there's a thread here which publicizes the incident- albeit started by a dumbass braggart- is proof enough that the causes of justice and freedom are best served by ACTION- not by quiet non-participation.

maggot- you're a gullible, hasbara -soaked fool, typical of the twats who would believe that sneaky hostage-takers , under cover of darkness, would quietly castrate a victim before making their escape.

Haw, haw................................haw.

Still- I'm not going to bother any further with your ' according to the associated press ' tripe. You can fuck off with it. Today, after many thousands of men , women and children have been brutally murdered by fascist Izraeli racists, Palestine is recognized by the UN and 138 countries . This is due to the Palestinians' resolve to continue to resist their own extinction by whatever means available to them at the time.
Moral of the story ? Don't brutalize and then whine about being brutalized yourself.

Yet we are supposed to accept at face value all the bollox you post from RT, Electronic Intifada, Press TV or the Palestinian Propaganda Weekly. I really couldn't give a fuck whether you hate being called a cunt or not, you are what you are, wear it with pride.

In 1992 Spitzer gave an interview on German TV, in which she expressed frustration at not knowing the details. Afterwards she was contacted by a man who said he worked with a German government agency that had access to vast amounts of records on the attack.

The man, who stayed anonymous, gave about 80 pages of reports which Spitzer, Romano and Zeltzer used to pressure the German government into giving them the full records, including the horrific photographs from the attack.

After receiving the file, they sued the German government, the Bavarian regional government and the city of Munich for a "deficient security concept" and "serious mistakes" that doomed the failed rescue attempt of the nine remaining hostages who were murdered at an airport.

However their lawsuit, delayed for 20 years by the German government's refusal to share the details, was dismissed on grounds of statute of limitations expiring.

The widows have continued lobbying to memorialize their loved ones, and just this year the International Olympic Committee under the new president Thomas Bach agreed to make a permanent memorial in Munich.

There are also plans to commemorate the 11 victims in the 2016 Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro, although they will be remembered in a moment of silence together with other athletes who have died in the games. Romano and Spitzer are pressing to have the victims remembered separately from those who died in sporting accidents, given the radically different nature of their deaths.

The murdered athletes were:

Moshe Weinberg, wrestling coach

Yossef Romano, weightlifter

Ze'ev Friedman, weightlifter

David Berger, weightlifter

Yakov Springer, weightlifting judge

Eliezer Halfin, wrestler

Yossef Gutfreund, wrestling referee

Kehat Shorr, shooting coach

Mark Slavin, wrestler

Andre Spitzer, fencing coach

Amitzur Shapira, track coach

Cunt, cunt, cunt, cunt!!! Where's that other cunt Strumpet?

maggot's misinterpretations of the 1972 Olympics notwithstanding- the Palestinian state today is recognized by the United Nations and 138 countries. Resistance against Western-sponsored Izraeli atrocities is succeeding beyond the wildest nightmares of Izraeli pseudo-Jews and sycophantic prosemites. Little by little.

Kudos to any athlete that shuns Izraeli criminality and Olympic Committee duplicity.

By your standard, U.S should have been disqualified from every Olympics during the Bush administration. If not for Covid, during trump's administration as well.

For this- and many other atrocities- decent folk shun Izraeli racism and the filthy Neo-Zionist doctrine.

Now then- where's that racist asshole that mentioned a bomb on a bus forty years ago ?

Did Jesse Owens compete against the Nazis?

Yes...because he wasn't a pussy coward!

Not even a good try. In 1936 Germany wasn't a pariah state and hadn't murdered thousands of children in an occupied country. Incidentally....Jesse Owens ' "wasn't invited to the White House to shake hands with the President, either". Shame on America in 1936.

Indeed. He should have competed. I don't like quitters.
So...it seems that Nourine would have (more than likely) lost his match against Butbul. Another competitor from Sudan withdrew rather than face Butbul, but he cited an injury.

No matter. Butbul is out of the competition, and the world can move on.

The IJF didn't comment on Abdalrasool's withdrawal after sharply criticizing Nourine, who also quit the World Judo Championships in 2019 right before he was scheduled to face Butbul at the Budokan, the site of the Tokyo Olympics.
Butbul is ranked seventh in the world at lightweight. He likely would have manhandled Nourine, who is ranked 31st, or Abdalrasool, who is 469th and only got into the Olympics through a late invitation.
With an unimpeded path to the round of 16, Butbul beat Victor Sterpu of Moldova and advanced to the quarterfinals against South Korean star An Changrim, who beat him with a waza ari.
Butbul then lost to Arthur Margelidon of Canada in repechage, ending his first Olympics effectively in seventh place.

Well, the rollback of the Trump administration's advances in acceptance of Israel is predictably being undermined by Biden and his friends in international anti-semitism.

It would seem to me that no-one who believed in decency would compete in any games in which the 'Israeli' nazis were allowed to take part.

1936 ...The Nazi party was in power and the Olympic Committee felt that those of Jewish descent would not be fairly treated. Hitler also took back the rhineland which was prohibited based on the Treaty of Versailles. Germany also aligned with Italy and Japan in a militairy alliance

Yet Owens still competed

The Algerian is a fucking coward

"It is not the first time that Nourine has withdrawn from competition to avoid facing an Israeli opponent. He pulled out of the 2019 world championships in Tokyo for the same reason.

"Other athletes from countries who do not recognize Israel have previously withdrawn from competing in sports against Israeli opponents."

https://www.cnn.com/2021/07/24/sport/algerian-olympian-withdrawal-israel-intl/index.html

I can't offhand calculate the odds of the Algerian contestant facing the Israeli contestant, but they would seem decent to me. So I think it is incredibly selfish of an athlete to take an Olympic slot, to pledge to represent his country, and then to quit.

The political situation of Israel is a different issue, but this man should not be allowed to professionally compete anymore.

DIDN'T WANT THE WORLD TO SEE HIM GET HIS ASS HANDED TO HIM BY A JEW.....TYPICAL ISLAMO-COWARD....
