JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Department of Health reported 73,199 new coronavirus cases in the week ending Thursday -- up 60% from last week’s increase and more than three times the number of new cases seen just two weeks ago.

The state is now averaging more than 10,000 new cases each day -- a level last seen near the height of the winter surge and before COVID-19 vaccines were widely available.

Duval County’s cases went up 6,430 in a week -- the second-highest increase since the pandemic began. The largest per-capita increases in the past week were in Nassau, Baker and Duval counties.

About 5,300 Floridians are now hospitalized in Florida with COVID, a 65% jump since last week and nearly a tripling since June 14 when 1,845 were hospitalized, the Florida Hospital Association said. Officials have said more than 95% of those hospitalized were not vaccinated.

DeSantis' primary campaign, based on nailing down the dumb MAGA voter, continues to take lives. you have to be a shameless opportunist to succeed in that criminal organization, clearly

and the vast majority of them are very mild, and require no drug treatment or hospitalization. How many people died in Florida from gun shots? car accidents, cancer, abortion, etc in that same period of time?

Florida doesn't want to report their numbers. Three days and counting. Not a peep from the DeSantis administration on testing or cases. What are they hiding? A massive outbreak that is getting worse very rapidly.

Well, at least a partial tally is in:

Yesterday: 16,038
Today: 17,589.

Florida has averaged over 13,000 cases a day for the last week. The shit show continues.

Go Ron Ron, go!!!!! You'll get everyone eventually.

And this is why DeSantis presides over the Covid capitol of the world. Great job Ron, Ron.

to think that one person can completely destroy everything they touch, like this guy, Trump, Bush etc etc etc.....day to day life is much more fragile than most people realize

Sadly, that's true. Money helps insulate you, but that is NOT how things should work. Anyone who says DeSantis is effective needs to explain how bashing public health officials during a pandemic is 'effective' in getting people vaccinated.

You can now see the results of allowing illegal immigrants to roam freely, so thank Slo Jo for that!

Health officials are on high alert as cases of a Covid-19 variant discovered in Colombia are rising in South Florida.

Variant B.1.621 now accounts for about 10 per cent of coronavirus patients there, according to Carlos Migoya, CEO of Jackson Health System.

17,000 new cases in Florida. The seven day average is now above 15,000 cases a day. This is worse than either of the previous waves at this point. Anti-vaxxers and Ron Ron leader of the death cult are creating a catastrophe.
