Jeffrey A. Rosen, who was acting attorney general during the Trump administration, has told the Justice Department watchdog and congressional investigators that one of his deputies tried to help former President Donald J. Trump subvert the results of the 2020 election, according to a person familiar with the interviews.

Mr. Rosen had a two-hour meeting on Friday with the Justice Department’s office of the inspector general and provided closed-door testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee on Saturday.

Mr. Rosen on Friday told investigators from the inspector general’s office about five encounters with Mr. Clark, including one in late December during which his deputy admitted to meeting with Mr. Trump and pledged that he would not do so again, according to a person familiar with the interview.

Mr. Rosen also described subsequent exchanges with Mr. Clark, who continued to press colleagues to make statements about the election that they found to be untrue, according to a person familiar with the interview.

Subvert the election. ??? That's what dems did with their 2 year russian meddling investigation re the 2016 election. Turns out they didn't have anything and now it's our turn to challenge an election.

Not to usurp the thread, but I find it interesting that Trump continues to dominate conversation even as the supposedly very popular and elected by the largest popular vote ever Biden wallows in obscurity...

Sure, Dotard wished his highest approval ratings were as high as Biden's lowest approval ratings.

Dotard's cult is threatening violence if the fat, orange, retard isn't reinstated as president in August.

are you on drugs right now? biden wallows in obscurity? most sane people believe a person being investigated for being a traitor to this country, like trump, is dominating the conversation in a bad way.

I want my POTUSes (POTII? lol) to "wallow in obscurity." They are there to work for us, not to play golf every weekend, pose with upside Bibles for photo-ops, hold constant Nuremberg rallies for the faithful, and cozy up to our enemies.

Then you should be enraged that Biden isn't doing a damn thing he's supposed to be doing, and taking all-day naps between brief periods of semi-consciousness isn't some great alternative to one that plays golf and looks for photo ops...

He's still running the GOP, nitwit

I find it interesting that Trump's new blog The Desk of Donald Trump https://thedeskofdonaldtrump.com isn't getting nearly the traffic that his Twitter account got.
It has room for comments at the bottom of every Trump statement but there's only about 20-30 posters in the busiest threads.
Seems like Trump is fading into obscurity. And you know it's killing him.

If any of that nonsense was true I would be pissed, but since it's not... dismissed.

Trump wandered down to the oval office about 11 or later. He had free time scheduled into the rest of his short day. Then he golfed. Trump was president lite. Previous presidents were workaholics who felt the responsibility of the office. Trump was the accidental president who was working for himself.
It looks like Trump will not get away with his election interference and criminal behavior. Rosen testified about what Trump was ordering people to do.

Wow. Talk about going over your boss's head:

(from the OP link)

"Mr. Clark had been engaging in unauthorized conversations with Mr. Trump about ways to have the Justice Department publicly cast doubt on President Biden’s victory, particularly in battleground states that Mr. Trump was fixated on, like Georgia. Mr. Clark drafted a letter that he asked Mr. Rosen to send to Georgia state legislators, wrongly asserting that they should void Mr. Biden’s victory because the Justice Department was investigating accusations of voter fraud in the state."

I should think that Mr. Clark is a person of interest for the Select Committee.

OP link:

"Mr. Blumenthal said Mr. Rosen presented new facts and evidence that led him to believe that the committee would need to answer “profound and important questions” about the roles that individuals in Mr. Trump’s orbit played in the effort to undermine the peaceful transition of power, “which is what Trump tried to do, intently and concertedly.”"
