2.6 Trillion dollars!

2.6 trillion dollars could have bought me the best weekend in Vegas ever!

Money finds a way of going to the wrong people, doesn't it?

Hello Jack,

Oh, I'll take that one!

Because if we don't there will be mass suffering?

And we have a chance to stop that?

And there is actually a lot of money to be made doing it.

So I don't really see the problem.

Poli: "So I don't really see the problem."
Jack: I agree. I don't think you see the problem. :(

Here's the thing with the Bush II war.

Coming home is a horrible idea. Innocents will be slaughtered.

Staying is a horrible idea. We'd be there forever.

Putting us in situations which immediately upon doing so
preclude any possible good outcome
is what the
Republican Party exists to do.

Allowing it to survive is what guarantees the ultimate demise of this nation.

We've stayed in South Korea for 65 years. Maybe that's what it takes?

You're right. I don't see why it's a problem to do what the world needs to solve the Climate Crisis.

It is a win/win because it creates a lot of jobs as we transform our economy to be more energy conscious.

Are climate deniers afraid of prosperity?

So. Your solution to the Water Shortage is to import MORE PEOPLE.

Hello Jack,

I'm trying to understand YOUR position.
I can state MY position very clearly. "We don't need MORE PEOPLE".

Can you state YOUR position?

Same position.

The only difference being that one of us applies this to the nation only, the other applies it to the world.

It is more logical to apply it to the world, because nature knows no national boundaries.

National boundaries are invisible to the ecosystem, or to the environment.

Do you know what could have been done with 2.6 trillion dollars!

That’s what W’s war in Afghanistan cost us!

I was called un-American for warning people that it could not be successful. Those same people are now Trumppers! Almost all of them.

We did the same thing in Vietnam, declared defeat and came home. The money and lives lost were for nothing in either place.

THERE IS NO CLIMATE CRISIS. THE CLIMATE OF PLANET EARTH WAS CHANGING MILLIONS OF YEARS BEFORE HUMANS APPEARED AND WILL BE CHANGING MILLIONS OF YEARS AFTER THE LAST HUMAN IS GONE. WE ARE A GNAT ON A PIMPLE ON AN ELEPAHNTS ASS IN THE EARTH'S CLIMATE.

Not that I remember.

WASHINGTON—Democratic presidential contenders are unanimously condemning President Trump’s withdrawal of U.S. troops from Syria, calling the decision a reckless move that undermines allies in the region while emboldening adversaries.

But when pressed to detail an alternate strategy in Syria, the candidates are hesitant to spell out what their policies toward engagement in the Middle East would entail.

Amid renewed a debate over America’s footprint in the Mideast, Democrats seeking the White House in 2020 are decrying Mr. Trump’s abrupt drawdown of roughly 100 troops from northeast Syria, while agreeing with his underlying impulse to reduce U.S. troop levels in the region and steer clear of conflicts overseas.

“As president, I will tell you, I will always take any threat to our security very seriously and do what is necessary to avert any threat to our nation’s security,” California Sen. Kamala Harris said following a campaign event in Tipton, Iowa, last week. “But I can’t tell you what the circumstances will be when I’m elected.”

Asked if there was still a role for U.S. troops in the region, Ms. Harris said: “I don’t know. I don’t know. Because it is that unpredictable with Donald Trump.”

DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) — Seeking to leverage his experience in foreign policy, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden on Wednesday ripped Donald Trump’s withdrawal of U.S. military forces from Syria as the latest proof that the president is a “complete failure” who is gutting American credibility around the world.

Biden used a 40-minute speech in Iowa to excoriate Trump for withdrawing American forces and leaving Syrian Kurds, key U.S. allies in the yearslong fight against the Islamic State group, open to attacks from Turkey.
