Mohammed, stranded in Afghanistan and hiding from the Taliban, makes a White House appeal: ‘Don’t forget me here’

Thirteen years ago, Afghan interpreter Mohammed helped rescue then- Sen. Joe Biden and two other senators stranded in a remote Afghanistan valley after their helicopter was forced to land in a snowstorm. Now, Mohammed is asking President Biden to save him.

Now, Mohammed is in hiding. “I can’t leave my house,” he said on Tuesday. “I’m very scared.”

“Hello Mr. President: Save me and my family,” Mohammed, who asked not to use his full name while in hiding, told The Wall Street Journal as the last Americans flew out of Kabul on Monday. “Don’t forget me here.”

He is going to help get him out.

Why are you upset? The rescue plan is in process right now.

No it isn't. Biden is desperately hoping he never has to mention Afghanistan again. Thankfully folks are still paying attention so that his writers will have to come up with still more scripted answers for the scripted questions from his specified questioners in the future. We'll get to hear more good fiction like how folks raining from planes is a "huge success" because there was a record number of desperate escape flights from the country that Biden set on fire.

Yes it is. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2021/08/31/white-house-responds-plea-interpreter-who-helped-rescue-biden/5673787001/

If that is the one I saw interviewed, he was in America when he heard about the exodus. He flew back to try and get 9 members of his extended family out. Is that what we are doing? Then he complained because he said he did not get phone calls or emails. Really, they were queuing at the airport and 122,000 people were getting out, but he did not know about it? Damn Biden, why did you not drop in and take him by the hand and lead him to the airport?

LOL. We already know how Biden's plans "come together", it starts with lies about how the worst case scenario won't happen because his planners never thought of them, then ends with desperate folks trying to grip onto jet planes as they take off and then those same folks dropping from the sky. Then Biden declares himself a hero because there were so many desperate escape flights that it set a record...

If we go by his past performance, which is the first indicator of future performance, he'll bring back several totally different families and call it a success because there were more than he planned to secrete from the country even though he didn't save the one he planned on. Mohammed, as he called himself, will try to grip onto the plane as it is leaving and will drop like rain from the sky...

Biden will then spike the football and cheer, because "record numbers of folks" were running across the tarmac after the plane.

What will you say when they got the Afghan interpreter out? Fake news?

I'll be happy for him. The reality is, if this guy hadn't contacted the press nobody was coming for him. If they have any success getting this guy out other than paying money to the Taliban, which should never happen, I will be happy for the guy. I will still know that it should have been unnecessary, people first, then equipment, then withdrawal.

Biden did everything wrong. This guy should not have to desperately beg for Biden to not forget him, he should have been among the first people who left.

We are out and yet you continue to bicker. Astounding.

I will continue to point out that it was a catastrophic failure, that there is no circumstance where folks tried to ride on the outside of airplanes and falling from the skies where it should ever be considered a "success" by any administration or American.

What happened there was worse than leaving Hanoi, and this pResident promised it would "never happen" that this was not going to be "folks being taken by helicopter from the embassy roof"... No, it was far far more of a fail.

No matter how much you try to put lipstick on this warthog, it still really is a warthog.

Who the hell climbs on an airplane, expecting to hold on?

Around 122,300 people out is not a "catastrophic failure".

It is when the same number are likely to have died.

The reality is: folks raining form the sky because they were so desperate to get out after Biden set the country on fire with his inept retreat "plan" that they were willing to grip on the outside of planes is a "sign" of catastrophic failure to plan.

The reality was this chaos created by the worst foreign policy blunder of my lifetime (and that does include Hanoi) was truly a catastrophic failure of this Administration to even plan for any contingency. Biden was out there less than one month before telling these folks they had nothing to fear and that there was "no circumstance" where the Taliban would take over that country and promising us that this would not be as bad as Hanoi...

He failed, he failed at every opportunity and when his plans were failing he failed to even recognize that and make changes that could improve the situation.

Even if you promise that the fire will never go past the kitchen, starting an orphanage on fire then watching it spread almost instantly to every room and then giving yourself a pat on the back because you sent firefighters in to save "a record number of kids" from the fire is still arson, and can no way be called a success.

LOL. Silly analogy.

The fact of the matter remains is that we ARE OUT. It is about time after 20 years of war with multiple casualties and trillions of dollars.

BTW, I notice that there were no outrage over the deaths of the US soldiers since Bush. Now all of sudden they're SOOOOOO OUTRAGED!!!!

Indeed.

Great summation of Biden's Bloody Blunder.
