Hurricane Ida leaves swath of destruction across US

There are no "private policies" for flood insurance. Other big insurers are attaching a flood insurance rider to such policies but the underwriter is FEMA. That is, a company like say State Farm sells you an homeowner's insurance policy and you add flood insurance. The flood insurance is underwritten--will be paid out on--by FEMA not State Farm, they are just the middleman.

Dumbass. I have a private flood insurance policy. It paid me a six-figure claim in 2013 and continues to cover me.

This smacks of a rushed, not well researched, blurted thread.

Shooting from the hip, off the cuff.

We've seen better.

More time should be devoted to creating threads.

No one is interviewing the dissatisfied ‘customers’?

Probably shouldn’t be too hard to find. Of course, you have to want to find them.
Yes, Biden was, the people told him their grips, he listened, really listened, that’s why I respect Joe Biden, he genuinely cares.

Private flood insurance is a viable alternative to the government-backed National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). Consumers who live in a Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) can purchase a policy through a private insurer to satisfy federal mandates and mortgage requirements.Jul 29, 2021

Biden doesn't know what a map is and if you handed it to him explanation, he would forget[/QUOTEl

Yeah, like that loser with a sharpie....please please please compare that old white washed up Biden to anything but a Trump...you can even use a retarded GOP senator, but not Trump....Biden would win hands down!!

Where's Biden? He's hidin'! As usual, Biden is nowhere to be found dealing with the federal side of a multistate disaster that wreaked havoc across the Eastern US. As usual, the MSM is either running cover for him by not mentioning his absence, or ignoring his feckless handling of this disaster to date.

What was Biden suppose to do?

Biden put a very experienced person in charge of FEMA. She knows nothing about horse shows though.
Biden takes government service seriously.

Despite the better coverage options, private flood insurance is a very small percentage of the overall market. The Wharton Risk Management and Process Decision Center estimates that private flood policies comprise only 3.5% to 4.5% of primary residential flood policies.

So, for all intents FEMA is the only flood insurer in the US. The rest of the market is miniscule in what amounts to a government monopoly.
