"Chasten and I are beyond thankful for all the kind wishes since first sharing the news that we’re becoming parents. We are delighted to welcome Penelope Rose and Joseph August Buttigieg to our family."

Congratulations to the growing family! Mayor Pete is a political hero of mine, but this personal accomplishment makes me happy for reasons that have nothing to do with politics. To all hopeful adoptive parents of all stripes, never give up! The process is insanely complicated and frustrating, but if you're committed, you'll make it.

Chasten? What century is he from?

it is great loving couples can adopt to provide love and shelter for these kids and babies.

I don't think I've ever known a Chasten before. The name seems to be used for between 0 and 10 babies per million for the past several decades in the US. Not that it matters.

A capable, willing couple adopts two babies who needed homes and parents. Best news I've heard all day.

They are both husbands. Are you, like, a thousand years old?

Oh. I always thought one was more in the Dominant role and the other the Submissive. I heard that Lesbians refer to each other as 'Wives', so maybe that is the Politically Correct reference now. (?)

I think he was being snarky and implying something.

I wouldn't know. I often don't understand Jack. He was a rambling, meandering way of trying to make points in pithy ways that I think often never land. But that might just be me.

Well I think he's implying that one is on the top and the other one on the bottom. :dunno:

This cannot be a serious line of questioning. Dominance and submissiveness have nothing to do with the role titles given to married couples. I would venture a guess that almost every "husband" is sometimes submissive to his "wife". Whether or not a homosexual male couple has a dominant partner and a submissive partner, both men are referred to as "husbands" (if that's what they want to be called). Same thing for homosexual female couples as "wives".

In San Francisco I always heard the terms 'Butch' and 'Nellie' tossed around. Course, this was before the Wokesters moved in.

He would have no way of knowing that. If one of the Buttigieges is customarily the bottom, does that make him a "wife" and not a "husband"? What if they're both versatile and split up the penetration about 50/50?

Most importantly, why in the actual fuck do "certain kinds of men" get so hung up on what gay couples do? Don't answer. That was rhetorical. We all know the answer.

Sometimes threads need 'bumps'.

Then why wouldn't you comment on something substantive as opposed to, "If Pete always porks Chasten, isn't Pete the husband and Chasten the wife?"

I would be grateful for the "bumps" if they weren't gratuitous troll bait for all the people I already banned from this thread. I do, however, get a little bit of satisfaction from imagining them frothing and seething at their screens not able to scream at me about faggots and the inability of same sex couples to raise children. I feel like I'm on a beach. :)

since the kids have taken pete's surname, you might surmise he is the "husband," as if that matters.

No, they are both husbands. Chasten also took Pete's name. Chasten is a man. He is not a wife.

It is fascinating to see people who age become less able to learn than children out of the womb.
