A mortal blow to Young Earth creationism

This leads to he question: did God create man, or did man create God??????????????????????

We created the gods in our own image. Notice how most of them are very human-like in their wrath, love, forgiveness, vengeance, lust, etc.?

These things are all the products of our meat bodies. Any being that could create a universe has no need of such things, or need of worship by its creations, really.

Hello Nordberg,

Why do you presume to speak for atheists? Atheists will spend no time thinking about god and religion if you guys did not bring it up so frequently. We think of it as the Easter Bunny or Santa. We spend no time on whether it is true or not. Religion is an entire waste of time.

The problem with expressing atheist views is that some Christians consider that person to be the devil.

Christians like to control the conversation so it is OK to talk about their beliefs, but not OK to talk about any others.

So atheism is a religion?

As my thread title implies, I am making fun of fundamentalist christians.

Anything I wrote about atheists, or agnostics is strictly clinical and based on detached observation.

I specifically went out of my way to state there is no unified and universal truth to attempts to define these intellectual traditions.

All you are doing is helping others realize you are an ass!

Good points. And many Xtians see a non-Xtian as a challenge, a trophy to show Jesus if they can convert you. lol

Hello ThatOwlWoman,

Wow. Amazing stuff.

Yeah. Love science. There's always something new in science.

Science just gets better and better, keeps providing more and more answers.

And even better in a way, it often provides more and more questions as well.

It is probably Neaderthals or Homo Denisovans, because I do not think Homo Sapiens were on the Tibetan plateau 226k years ago.

Seems the only people concerned with creationism is the left. It controls what little space you have in your head right next to Trump.

I am SO tired of that.

It is just as unwanted as commercial advertising.

Just say NO!

Our time is our own. Nobody else has a right to take up your time with their own agenda unless you allow it.

Surprisingly, 40 percent of Americans think humanity is less than 10k years old. That is a huge percentage and indicates a problem with scientific literacy in USA.

Forty percent of U.S. adults ascribe to a strictly creationist view of human origins, believing that God created them in their present form within roughly the past 10,000 years.

I have openly talked about atheist views on this forum, and frequently in a respectful, positive way -- and I have the threads to prove it.

The atheist views of Nietzsche, Marx, Freud are worth considering. As my posting history demostrates.

Most of the time, the bible thumpers here may not like it, but I usually am not called Satan because of it, and if I were I conside it more comedy than insult.

I did not grow up in a bible thumping fundamentalist tradition, so I have no personal experience with that social context. I tend to believe it though when I hear how closed minded they are

And you had to go back to a 2019 poll to make it sound recent. You all really need to get out more.
