I hear there are Lawsuits coming from everywhere. I wonder how this will turn out?
The "experts" need to figure out what happened first.
If the oil is from the pipeline then the company that operates it is likely done.....they did not shut it down till many hours after they knew that there was oil in the water, likely because their flow and pressure readings were indicating that they were not the problem, that the oil was not coming from them. Insurance will be useless in protecting them from that, and they are a small company. The stock is getting hammered.
Someone claims an Anchor damaged the Pipeline.
Oil leak from a Pipeline. 41 years old.
This is the current fav theory. The pipeline company says that they expect to have an answer soon. Is so the pipeline operator taking something like 12 hours to shut it down after they saw oil in the water will I spect end them.
Age has nothing to do with...inspection and maintenance does, and the company that runs it claims that their program is top tier....industry best.
This pipeline is easy to dive to...I am absolutely keeping Eco Terrorism on the list.

Sweet Jesus, Mother of God!
Dude, you said the same thing when that ship got stuck in the Suez Canal.
(scratching head) Hawk, why do you latch on to every conspiracy theory?
(it now makes sense why you are a QAnon Follower)

"Age has nothing to do with it". So, at 41 years old, it's the same as 'brand new'? (haven't heard that one before)
Well, I don't know what a reasonable 'time' element it would be. The oil could have come from anywhere. But, yeah, this could finish oil drilling so close to the coastline. The Cities, the Property Owners, the effected Businesses, ... all have MONEY. I expect a lot of litigation.
