That's an aspect, yes- but we can't generalize. Some people actually do believe that those they perceive to be of different ' races ' are sub-human.

There is intense hatred and prejudice among groups of the same race for perceived differences or just tradition. Groups attack and murder people of different tribes and religions of the same race. That would not stop because you called it a social construct.

You have to ask whether such hatred, prejudice and attacks are as a result of perceived ' racial ' differences or whether they are rooted in competition, e.g. for food, space , resources etc. Such competition might actually promote the social construct of ' race ' as a dog-whistle for support.

We all have different DNA and all skeletons may be different, but we can identify their race using these factors.

No- they can identify many factors, true, but such factors do not identify ' race '. That's simply a term developed to generalize groups with the same or similar differences to the sample subject.

I'm sure you could identify a typical person from China, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Europe simply by their appearance. Recognizing differences does not suggest one is lesser than another. Yes, you can identify people from certain locations by their appearance- and that appearance is as a result of evolving in that location. A white moth which develops the camouflage of dark coloration because its environment has become soot-polluted is not a different ' race ' of moth. It's simply a white moth from Sootsville. Or vice versa.

Physical differences are not a social construct. But, for all practical purposes, it is irrelevant. It doesn't make racists believe any different. How can there be racists if there is no race?

Race is a social construct.

That's difficult for people that have grown up with the concept of 'race ' to understand- impossible for established bigots . They are happy in their skins with their bigotry and they don't have the moral gumption for change. Perhaps that's the fault of their ' educators ', perhaps it's the perceived 'normalcy' of ' racial ' pecking-order and the conventions and laws which reinforce that misconception- laws and conventions which make it profitable in some way for those that maintain the conventions and make the laws.
