GOP candidate: Michael Flynn trying to run extortion plot

We fight, We win, Am Yisrael Chai
A Republican Senate candidate alleged over the weekend that former national security adviser Gen. Michael Flynn is attempting to run an extortion scheme on elected officials in a number of states, with the end goal of pushing conspiratorial election audits that will ultimately propel former President Donald Trump back into office.

Everett Stern, a businessman who owns a private intelligence business called "Tactical Rabbit" and is running for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania, held a press conference Sunday to share what he had found, later tweeting out a link to the video of his remarks titled, "Everett Stern Releases New Evidence of Ongoing Domestic terror Threat Links to General Michael T. Flynn."

"I'm here today not as a candidate running for U.S. Senate, I'm here as a citizen who is genuinely concerned about our country, sincerely concerned about the undermining of our democracy," Stern says in the opening moments of his statement.

Because of his intelligence background, Stern claims at least two people representing a Flynn-linked group called "Patriot Caucus" approached him earlier this year after a speech with an offer to hire his firm to gather "dirt" on officials and recruit others to assist in the plot. At one point, one of the men allegedly told Stern that they had retained the services of active intelligence officials "both domestic and foreign" — which would likely be illegal under U.S. law.

He claims that he was told, point-blank, "accomplish the mission even if you have to use domestic terrorism."

"I believe that General Flynn has committed treason against the United States," Stern said on Sunday. "Based on what I have seen and witnessed, I truly believe that's the case."

Stern said he was moved to expose Flynn's dealings out of a moral imperative — something he is familiar with as a whistleblower at HSBC, where he exposed the bank's billion-dollar money laundering scheme. The case ended with a $1.92 billion fine against HSBC.

Flynn is a traitor.

Where is the extortion?

Opposition research has been done forever, and is not illegal.

FEDERAL JUDGE SAYS FBI VIOLATED FLYNN's 4th and 14th AMENDMENT RIGHTS...AT LEAST...

Really did not happen. Flynn lost every case in front of judges. His claims that the FBI violated his rights were laughed out of every court they were heard in. The idea that a well educated, wealthy, powerful man, did not know that he had access to lawyers, even when he had been told right before the interview with the FBI about the lawyers he had access to... Well, no court found in Flynn's favor.

What the trump administration did try to do was drop charges against Flynn. There was an ongoing question that after the verdict whether they can drop charges. It legally, and logically makes no sense. When that was finally explained to trump, he pardoned Flynn. To accept a pardon, Flynn had to accept guilt. If he thought he was not guilty, he could always reject the pardon.

Collecting blackmail material to force officials to change their position is called extortion. It is illegal.

Opposition research is a very different thing. It is an attempt to find out information about the candidate to run an election campaign against him.

Evidence of the intent to blackmail will be required.

Beyond a reasonable doubt.

Presumption of innocence.

As you should know.
