Alec Baldwin and gun safety

If you have taken a firearms safety course you would check the gun regardless of how many folks tell you it is not loaded. You would also learn to treat all guns as if they are loaded and not to point them at people... Since this is a movie set they seem to have a bit different set of rules to follow.

Being in the business for many years, of course Alec would know that.

Yes, in every fucking movie they stop filming while the actor personally assures himself there in no live round
in the chamber as opposed to a fake one.

I was on the set with Keanu Reeves for John Wick, Wick 2 and Parabellum. They stopped between every shot and Keanu personally checked. In fact, in 47 instances, there was a chambered live round and he saved the lives of 47 villains.

What a fucking dumbass thread.

Was this after your stint commanding ROROs, battleships and an admiral in the \Coast Guard?

As an esteemed member of the maritime community with years of experience commanding RORo, battleships and an admiral in the coast guard, I think this thread is silly.

One more time, we do not know if it was loaded with a full functional bullet.

Think of it this way... you have maybe 3 people responsible checking and carrying from the top to the bottom. Each person is responsible for checking the gun. The armorer is responsible for cleaning it and making sure it's safe. And so on. The gun is carried from the top the bottom.

If the gun was loaded with a full functional bullet, how is it that nobody in the chain of carrying and responsibility not know about it?
One more time the sheriff said it was a live round and BADWN had the ultimate responsibility to check it for himself before pointing it in the DIRECTION of others and pulling the trigger.

The notion that actors on an action movie set should treat their job of acting using props as provided by their employer with their safety protocols in place the same as a person handling guns
at home or a peace officer or a hunter, is simply absurd.

In my home I am the alpha to omega of the safety. Not the case with an actor with a multi-agent staff apparently whose sole function is ensuring what happened to Baldwin and his "victim"
is impossible.

Um he was supposed to point it in the DIRECTION of the camera as DIRECTED.

I ordered blowfish the other day and died. My estate sued the waitress. She forgot to check it before serving me.

t takes less than 30 seconds t make sure a gun is unloaded a safe. Being checked by multiple people isn’t a bad thing. The ultimate responsibility was Baldwin’s. One should not outsource your responsibilities when it comes to gun safety.

So why the fuck did Baldwin point a gun that presumably he did not check in the direction of multiple people then pull the trigger? Sounds negligent to me.

Would liberals be sticking up for Charlton Heston if it were him who shot someone on a movie set? Why don't I think they would?
