The Federal Reserve announced they were reducing the reserve requirement ratio to zero percent across all deposit tiers as of March 26, 2020. This comes as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact much of the way financial institutions both operate and serve their customers.

Hi Politalker,

Respectfully, you are absolutely WRONG! Overreacting to the pandemic caused inflation. We unnecessarily shut down large swaths of our economy and started paying people more money not to work than they were making at their jobs. The federal government (yes I'm blaming Trump for this too) greatly increased the money supply at the same time as supplies have plummeted. That is what caused inflation.

I forgot to mention the Biden administration's attack on fossil fuels. That raised the cost of EVERYTHING. It raised production costs, the cost to transport goods, the cost of operating stores, and it's going to cost individuals more to fuel up their cars, heat their homes, keep the lights on etc.
