Civil trials against Rittenhouse!

The legal gun thing is Wisconsin and, yes, they should have known. I'm surprised the Defense didn't bring it up the first day. Why do you think they didn't?
no clue

IDK. What felony was he convicted of committing? Do you think everyone who does their time, off probation, should see a full return of their rights?
now i'm curious, despite all the chatter of him being a felon, but i'm also reading in places that his felony conviction was expunged this year...........wonder why.

I doubt it would be, but Im not an expert on the Wisconsin rules of evidence and how they differ from the Federal Rules of Evidence. I cant see how that would be admissable under the FRE.

you don't think the reason he was shot is going to be allowed in to evidence?????

Because it is not true that he was defending himself. He is the only one who shot people.

what proof do you have that it is not true? If I threatened to beat your ass and kill you, then start chasing you, would you believe that i'm going to beat your ass and then kill you?

Making up scenarios is not a debate. He is the only one at the demonstration that hurt people. He killed 2 . He was the anomaly. he went there with malice in mind.

you are making up a scenario by assuming his intent..........so you lose. he is the one that survived without serious injury............as I said in another thread, the cowardly mob saw a young kid they thought they could beat and kill.............they were wrong.

I dont know, but remember how they won a huge one against O.J.

Incredible you'd compare the O.J. thing w/ this. The O.J. NG verdict was obviously wrong. Plus there was additional evidence (the shoes) in the civil trial which not only caught O.J. in a lie but placed him at the scene of the crime with about a 1:1,000,000 probability of being wrong. There is nothing new a civil trial would bring w/ Rit plus the fact that the kid has no assets and won't for years.
Would you waste your time on a case like this? There must be plenty of slip and fall stuff to keep you busy.

So… Will Rittenhouse be buried by civil trials? Even if he’s not guilty in criminal court… Will he be buried in debt for what he did?

No. Assuming the jury finds him not guilty, a civil trial will get thrown out on that basis. Further, Kyle could counter-sue against those filing such a lawsuit and easily collect damages. He already has a strong case against CNN and MSNBC for slander.
