If at all possible, get your kids out of the public school system. There may be the same type of problems in private schools BUT at least they can be fired.
The teacher's unions and school administrators have bled the money slated for education and destroyed the public school system.

You want to act up in school, there was nothing like a nun's crack across the knuckles to stop your nonsense.

That was kind of my point of posting this. I could probably come up with 20 like this for every one of his bad ones. Lots of teachers do some very good things for their kids and families. While I might disagree with some of them politically I would be foolish not to acknowledge this.

Teacher arrested on child pornography charges

57-year-old Douglas Sanders was arrested by police officers after they discovered thousands of pictures, both digital and printed pictures of child pornography.

Sanders’s girlfriend found the images on his phone and in safes at his home and turned them over to police.

The affidavit says the girlfriend suspected Sanders of cheating on her and that is when she started searching for evidence and found the pictures.

After getting a search warrant for his hard drives, police say they found over 30,000 images. Sanders was charged with 40 counts of possession of an image and video of child pornography.

According to minutes from the Delphos City School Board, Sanders has resigned from the school district.

A Manor High School teacher faces a felony assault charge after a group of students told authorities they saw him hitting a non-verbal autistic student Wednesday morning.

District officials said the students witnessed the incident through a classroom window and recorded it. The students then alerted campus administrators, who called police.

Travis County sheriff’s deputies were called to the campus at 12700 Gregg Manor Road around 11 a.m. A student had shared with school district police a video that showed the teacher, identified in an arrest affidavit as Melvin D. Tealer, hitting the student on his head and face, according to authorities.

Teacher faces more sex crimes charges after additional victims come forward

Additional victims have come forward after a teacher was accused of having sex with a minor, officials said Thursday. They were once students of his.

Daniel James Baudino, 38, was arrested on charges related to sexual intercourse with a minor and four counts of oral copulation with a minor, the Turlock Police Department said.

Teachers accused of molesting students — including 12-year-old

Two schoolteachers have been arrested on some serious charges after, police said, they molested female students, including a 12-year-old in one case.

Sixty-three-year-old Leslie Wolfe, a sixth grade teacher, faced Broward County Circuit Judge Kal Evans.

Wolfe is accused of molesting the 12-year-old student during a tutoring session at West Broward Regional Library in Plantation, Wednesday.

Police said Wolfe and the student went into a private study room at the library for a tutoring session. At some point, investigators said, Wolfe touched the girl inappropriately.

He was placed under arrest and is being held on $150,000 bond.

“No contact with anyone under the age of 18,” Evans told Wolfe.

The suspect argued that his conduct was not unlawful.

Jossie Calderon, who teaches at Barbara Goleman Senior High School in Miami Lakes, has also been accused of touching a student inappropriately.

According to the police report, a 15-year-old girl told a counselor that Calderon touched her inappropriately on two different occasions.

Investigators said surveillance video corroborates the student’s story.

A second victim, who is 16, also came forward and said Calderon did the same thing to her.

Calderon was also arrested.

Because both teachers had contact with students and did private tutoring sessions, police believe there could be more victims.

Teacher arrested for sexual exploitation of children, unlawful surveillance

According to Dawson County Sheriff Jeff Johnson, Ryan Dennis Coker, 38, of Dawsonville was taken into custody on Tuesday afternoon and is being held without bail.

Coker is alleged to have been in possession of photographs depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct and is accused of, “observing, photographing or recording” the activities of an individual in a private place without the victim’s consent.

Detectives began investigating allegations against Coker earlier this week when an alleged victim, a local minor, came forward.

Following Coker’s arrest the Dawson County School System released a statement stating that they are cooperating fully with the sheriff’s office investigation.

Teacher called 'monster' gets 2 years for sexual battery

A 23-year-old woman called her former high school teacher a “monster,” cursed at him and then clapped as he was handcuffed and led from a Miami-Dade courtroom to serve a two-year prison sentence for sexually battering her when she was a teen.

The victim couldn't contain her rage at Tom Privett, who sat stonefaced behind his mask Wednesday while she described him taking advantage of her at a time when she was dealing with a death in her family and other hardships, the Miami Herald reported.

“You psychologically manipulated me and brainwashed me. You made me worship the ground you walked on. You insulted me when I failed to do the things you asked of me. You started touching me when I was 14 years old,” she said. “I was the puppet and you were the strings controlling my every move.”

Privett pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual battery of a helpless victim. His sentence also includes two years of house arrest and 20 years of probation, the newspaper reported.

Privett spent nearly three decades at South Dade High, teaching government, coaching the champion cross-country team and establishing the school’s acclaimed Mock Trial Team for aspiring lawyers.

Teacher accused of lesbian sexual relationship with student

A New Mexico teacher is facing rape charges for a relationship she is accused of having with a 15-year-old student.

Investigators say it happened while Elizabeth Kaul - also known as Elizabeth Vigil - was teaching at Aztec High School.

According to court documents, Kaul coerced the girl into a sexual relationship which went on for nine months both on and off-campus. The girl says when she tried to end it, Kaul would threaten to kill herself.

Kaul left her teaching job after that and moved to Albuquerque. She was arrested when the girl came forward.
