nov 27 2021 David Robinson, 53, was charged with manslaughter and held on $100,000 bail Saturday in the July 21 death of Than Htwe, 58.

The apparently hothead Robinson allegedly targeted Htwe and her son as they left the Canal Street subway station because he believed the younger man had thrown trash at him, prosecutor Lindley Round told Judge Paul Goetz.

In response, he allegedly tried to grab the 22-year-old as he and the older woman climbed the steps, knocking the young man off balance and causing him to grab onto his mom, authorities contend.

The incident sent mother and son tumbling backward down the stairs, where Htwe hit her head.

Robinson told investigators he heard a “loud crack” when the woman’s head hit the ground yet “he got on the next train and went to Midtown,” Round said in court.Despite efforts to avoid authorities, Robinson left a trail when he went into a Manhattan DVD store and picked up items off the shelves, and that’s how cops got his fingerprints, the prosecutor said.

ive always thought that if you were going to charge for murder 1 why not package manslaughter in there as well and vice versa. Let the Jury have options to pick from.

Chauvin was found guilty of BOTH murder and manslaughter!!!! Makes absolutely no sense but the jury was scared to death the press would dox them unless they said guilty to everything!!!

You swine at projecting atrocities of others just to come up with some asinine projection. Well consider, in particular, your good ole boy Rattenhouse murdering two so-called white men and attempted murder against another so-called white man that resulted in a heinous miscarriage of justice at a gutter courtroom full of the polluted nature of being un-American and a disgrace as a result of acquitting the bastard. This includes giving the Rat a free pass to hell at murder without accountability as in this case, so-called white lives didn't matter either. If Rattenhouse was a decent and person with a soul, he would have declined that offer from the devil to accommodate his miscarriage of justice at taking responsibility for his stupidity of going on a murder spree at pleading guilty. Yet the Rat decided to throw his own soul away at being seduced by the guile and filth of the emissaries of satan at not being mature enough to resist that temptation, and as another indication, the devil goes after the most vulnerable. This in order to consume their soul.

Not a fan of hate crimes, Charge crimes by the crime not the beliefs. but this is such an example where if the perpetrator was White there would likely be hate crime charges.

Robinson was charged with murder and two counts of manslaughter.
