Earl is correct. The Supreme Court often does defend deviations from the Constitution. Banning machines guns (or any other weapon or weapon accessory is a deviation from the Constitution. Article I and the 2nd, 9th, and 10th amendments are pretty clear about such bans. They are unconstitutional.

The SC has ruled (wrongly) that no right is absolute but there are no exceptions to the right to bear arms...none...nada zip...zero. There is nothing about types of weapons or who can own one or carry one. Nothing.

There is no justification for gun laws provided by the Constitution. Legislation can not limit the Second Amendment. It can only repeal it and lots of luck with that.

Documentation engineers are a real thing. These people act to 'translate' the technical aspects of a product or service into English. A valuable skill. That IS what they spend time on.

Also true. It's also why engineers developed translation aids to foreign languages too. These tools help take some of the load off the few engineers that know the foreign language and some of the language being translated from.

I'd say that's true only for the liberal arts and fine arts. Business, engineering, science, and related degrees that result in a BS, not a BA, still have much merit. But a degree in say, sociology, or one in gender studies is as worthless as tits on a pump handle.

Well, when it comes to electrical engineers, all I've cared about on their drawings and calculations is that they stamped it and it got me the necessary permits... Bureaucrats want that stamp to issue permits. The drawings can be complete garbage, but I can fix that as I go with "As builts." So what if the end drawings are a sea of red ink. I don't give a shit.
