I ask you, since you are of the mindset of blaming the original perp for any innocent deaths caused by police in stopping that perp........does that same theory apply to a civilian who accidentally kills an innocent civilian if they shoot an active perp??????
 
It's time to take police training away from localities.

This is just one more reason why I dismiss 10th Amendment local rule advocates as hopeless idiots and strongly favor strong central government.

For every cop that we have with mental accuity remotely approaching my daughter's,
we have ten or more who belong in padded rooms more than they belong in uniform.

Cops will never be trained properly until we have FEDERAL standards and uniform federal training. If California cops can fuck up this badly,
and they seem to do so regularly,
imagine what podunk flyover-country assholes in mirrored sunglasses must do.

Get the latter involved and its 50/50 whether or not to root for the criminals.

I dont see where training was an issue here.

What we need to do is charge the police unions for illegal "legislation by policy."

Particularly, mandatory shoot to kill, and banning warning shots among other more contextually relevant legislation by policy.

There's no reason why the police unions shouldnt share the day to day threats the officers face for the unions bad policies.

Why leave the officers to the wrath of the people that duely belongs to the police unions?

Nation wide standardization just sounds like a pig union wet dream.

Civilians are not tasked with protecting the public. A bad example. However, they do have a right to self-defense. If they shoot an innocent bystander, they will get prosecuted for manslaughter. It was not while doing their duty like a police officer.

Let me ask you a question, if we blame police for the actions of criminal perps, defund them and prosecute them for the actions of perps trying to commit a crime, will we have ANY protection in the future?

Just look at shit holes like LA, Chicago, Detroit and Baltimore. That's exactly where we are headed if we follow the policies of the Democratic Party of the Jackass and blame cops first. :dunno:

UNIONS ARE NOT THIRD PARTIES.
The police unions are the police officers, nobody else.

The teachers' unions are the teachers, nobody else.

People most in a hurry to blame unions seem to know the least about what unions are.

I was a union rep for over twenty years. I know EXACTLY what they are.

Innocent people getting slain is not a labor issue. It's an asshole isssue, a pre-hire vetting issue, and a poor training issue.

This one time a guy was trying to punch me. With my knife in hand i punched his punch. I could have cut his hand in half all the way to his wrist but instead chose to turn the knife into the metacarple bone so it stopped.
