Finally, intelligent gun regulations

I know lots and lots of middle-class ppl with backyard pools. They are not just for the wealthy. Most municipalities -- and insurance carriers -- require that a pool (aka "attractive nuisance") be securely fenced in with a locking gate when not in use.
Sure, anyone can have a pool....as long as they can afford to pay.

What does this have to do making rights only available to those who can pay?

The president's party almost always loses seats in mid-term elections so it has nothing to do with "mistakes". Trump lost 41 and Obama lost 60.

How many did Trump lose? This isn't about losing seats. This is about a massive red tsunami. Democrats brought this on because they really are that stupid.

We would see the same economy if Trump was still in office.

You know this how? Oh yeah, it's because you say so right? :palm:

But alas, Trump isn't in office and as a result of reversing everything Trump did, and the Afghanistan failure and passing trillions in spending his first few months in office, we have massive inflation and supply failures.

Biden promised us he would unite us; then he divided us with his angry petulant partisan hackery.

Biden claimed he would end the pandemic; then he kicked that can to the States.

Biden declared that anyone who presided over all those Covid deaths, in a dumb partisan hack attack on Trump, should not be President; then he had more deaths in his first year.

I know how desperate you Biden supporters are to put lipstick on that pig. But it is still a pig.
:palm:

...and if Texas or the Feds required extra insurance and fees "for the children", would you be fine with that?

The fact you are avoiding is that imposing fees on rights doesn't hurt the rich, some in the middle class can afford it if they budgeted for it and the poor are fucked over once again.

People with an "attractive nuisance" like a backyard pool usually do pay more in homeowner's insurance premiums.

Hard pass, Tweedle Dum.

I don't recall anyone ever giving away free guns to the poor, do you? If you're poor and want a gun, you can expect to pay for it, and its ammo too. Consider the insurance just a price hike.

”San Jose could set a precedent by requiring gun insurance”

“San Jose may become the first city in the nation to mandate an annual gun owner fee and liability insurance in an effort to curb gun violence.”

“The City Council will take a vote on Tuesday and if passed, San Jose residents who own guns will have to pay a $25 fee per household and purchase gun insurance that specifically covers losses or damages resulting from “any negligent or accidental use of the firearm” in six months, according to the ordinance.”

Amazing it has taken this long, treating guns just as we do vehicles, especially liability requirements, and before the gun nuts begin, every Constitutional right can and is regulated, Second Amendment isn’t any different

Me neither. I do recall the idea to change annual fees and insurance. Why the conniption over doing the same for all other rights?

You can have all the rights you like as long as you pay the requisite fees, taxes and insurance. Isn't that the precedent being advocated here?

STRAWMAN.

My post was strictly to do with the chances of the law passing the SCOTUS.

What you wish me to discuss is irrelevant.

Since it is constitutional for states to ban assault weapons I think buying insurance is less of a legal issue. Some states require a class to get a license to carry a handgun which seems no less onerous than buying insurance---not that I think insurance accomplishes anything.

Might as well give it up, toilet brush. Ain't gonna read it.

"very stupid" is a good start.

The reasoning is that reduced access to gun means less killing. When I applied that reasoning to obesity, a serious health issue in America, reduced access to food means reduced obesity, all the genius could muster is ...this is about obesity.

Nothing suggest failure than a slippery slope unconstitutional argument or claim.

Again, how would this make our streets safer?

Requiring classes for concealed carry is unconstitutional as well.

Again, how would that make our streets safer?

Yep. Because your homeowners' insurance isn't going to cover you if you don't have your pool properly secured, and a child gets in there and drowns, and the parents sue your stupid ass.

Do u think Dylan Roof or Stephen Paddock was worried about being sued?...fucking stupid bitch

So you weren't emoting over gun proliferation, which had not been mentioned until you did?

Your sentence is meaningless.

And I am tired of looking at your childish posts with their ridiculous fonts and signatures in a vain attempt to get people to pay attention to them.

We are done here.
