More than people, estimates go from 390 million to 330 million, too many guns and too easy access to too many guns equates to way too many dead Americans

Every single gun in the hands of a criminal first started out as a gun that was legally purchased.

Criminals got them either by stealing them from "responsible gun owners", finding them when a "responsible gun owner" loses them, buying them via straw purchase., or just had the gun given to them.
But in every case, universally, that gun was first sold legally, then it found its way through a "responsible gun owner" to a criminal.
