The division has been widening since 1992.

IMO, the cause has been primarily on the Republican side as they shifted from a stoic business-oriented party to a wackadoodle quasi-theocratic party. This does not absolve the Democrats of their responsibilities in creating the divide but does lay more blame at the feet of the Republicans. 1/6 was the culmination of the Republican desire to install a quasi-religious autocracy.

Without any vaccination, deaths would be 3 times higher. With full vaccination, deaths would be 20 times lower. This is hitting the vaccinated, but not very hard. It is really hurting the unvaccinated.

If you are conspiracy minded, maybe the Democrats are intentionally trying to win future elections by tricking trump voters into not getting vaccinated, and dying... Just saying.

DeSantis won the last election by 32,463 votes. Florida has had over 66,000 deaths, and will probably be around 100,000 deaths by the next election. That number of votes will make a difference, especially now that it is tilted heavily towards Republican deaths.

I had a harder fight being vaccinated than many people I know that were not vaccinated, until we see real numbers not distorted by money with flu and covid numbers separated the information out there is bad information
