It's why liberals won't stop talking about him. They damn near talk more about Trump than Biden and it's for obvious reasons. They all see Biden's poll numbers and his performance (he's given lip service I believe to wanting to run again but there's no guarantee he does). They also know Harris isn't going to win a national election. She served her role helping to get Biden elected but she's just not next level material. Mayor Pete? That dude isn't winning. Gavin Newsom? Nah. And the Bernie vs Hillary/Biden divide within their party hasn't gone away. But you know who unites those two factions? Trump. And they will turn out again in huge numbers to keep Trump away from the Presidency. Hence why they can't let him go.
But don't bet against the Republicans to F this up and nominate Trump again. I've had this discussion with big Trump supporters who tried to explain why I am wrong and he would win in '24. I don't buy it, at all. But many in the party want to see him run again...
Times do change though. Go back and look at some of Clinton's campaign ads in the early 90's. Some of that stuff you would not hear any Democrat promote today.
Trump drives your side batshit crazy. That alone is reason enough to get him back into the WH.
Change, yes, and Clinton was a moderate, left wing of the party at the time didn't approve of him, but he still adhered to basic Democrat principles, you can't quite say the same of Trump, he has transformed the GOP moving away from those ideals they supposedly represented
He cut capital gains taxes, he signed welfare reform, he signed a massive crime bill, he signed NAFTA and he signed financial deregulation bills.
Lord knows I'm not defending Trump but he supported anti-abortion measures, signed a big tax cut bill, did some deregulation and appointed conservative justices. Those are all basic GOP principles.

True, but he also, just to mention a few off the top of my head, strengthened the power of the Gov't, especially the Executive Branch, appointed Justices who support Judicial activism rather than restrain, freely employed tariffs, subsided supporters, increased the National Debt and during improved economic times, big spender, and in particularly was the antithesis of Family values.
And his support of anti -abortion measures, which was often the case, was only out of political convivence, not principal, a year before he ran for President, he was an abortion supporter
And therein you have the exact rationale many of those on the right have been trying to convince others doesn't exit, thanks
It's not JUST about ticking liberals off. It's about erasing leftism from liberalism completely. Leftism = hypersensitivity and host of other problems. My God, where are the classic liberals???I actually think that is the ONLY reason conservatives love Trump.
They don't care about America or democracy anymore. It's just all about ticking liberals off.
Smart.

“William Barr, Donald Trump’s former attorney general, said in an interview on Thursday that it would be a “big mistake” for the Republican party to nominate Trump for president in 2024”
“Appearing on the Newsmax television channel, Barr said Trump, who has hinted that he will run again, would not be a sound choice”
“Trump, Barr said, has surrounded himself with “sycophants” and “whack jobs from outside the government, who fed him a steady diet of comforting but unsupported conspiracy theories”.
