This is actually truer than not. The Democrats in particular have drifted to the far Left, but the Republicans that like Trump have pushed somewhat to the Right. Gerrymandering is still around because the two parties are the ones drawing districts rather than some independent commission that is not beholden to them. The other bad district thing is carving out ones specifically for minorities. This so blatantly racist it hurts.
