Yes, I know. Admitting that is step one. Step two is thinking about WHY you're unable to dispute them. Sure, in theory, it might simply be that you're dumb. But consider the possibility that it's because my points are correct, and so even a smart person couldn't effectively dispute them.
I understand that you'd like the opportunity to return to your usual topic of bashing Black people, but let's focus, instead, on the incarceration question. In light of the data I shared, are you still convinced even more incarceration is a good idea?

I intended $50k to be a fully-loaded cost. Generally speaking, employers pay something a little over 1.3 times salary to employ someone, once you count benefits cost, the employer's share of payroll taxes, and so on. So, someone earning in the ballpark of $15-$20/hr would cost an employer somewhere around $50k per year.

The energy isn't based strictly on the size of the bullet. It's also the velocity. The formula for bullet energy involves squaring velocity, so velocity winds up far more consequential than bullet mass. Rifles can have muzzle velocities well over 3,000 fps... well over twice what you'd get from, say, a 357 magnum revolver.
The formula, in imperial units, is that bullet energy, in foot-pounds, equals bullet weight in grains times the square of bullet velocity in feet per minute, divided by 450,437. So, if you have a 60 gr bullet going 1,500 fps, that's about 300 foot-pounds of energy. If you have a 30 gr bullet going 3,000 fps, that's about 600 foot-pounds of energy. You doubled the speed, halved the mass, and came away with twice the power.
That's a huge consideration with these high-power rifles -- they may be firing small bullets, but they're firing them at incredible velocities, such that they're imparting an enormous amount of energy.
I find it hilarious that the obedient little right-wingers always talk about Chicago's murder rate, rather than the murder rate in various red-state shitholes, even though the latter rates can be much higher. For example, you're nearly three times as likely to be murdered in St. Louis as Chicago, but Fox News has instructed their drones to focus on Chicago instead of St. Louis, and so that's just what their drones do.

It's worth remembering that right-wing societies typically have a lot more trouble with murder than liberal societies. Compare the US to liberal countries in northern and western Europe, for example. Or, for that matter, compare the conservative Deep South to the liberal Northeast. Do you know which states have the biggest problem with murder? MS, LA, AL, MO, and AR. Every state in liberal New England, by comparison, has a lower murder rate than the US as a whole.
Now, to be fair, some of that is just because red states are full or horrible people. But guns also matter. Saturate a population with guns, and the murder rate will be higher than if guns are hard to come by.
Let's be specific. What do you think the murder rate is in Chicago? How about St. Louis?
