Not true, shows another misunderstanding of the no bail policy
As I’ve said, nowhere is no cash bail, or even no bail, absolute, a Judge can decide if the individual is a flight risk or dangerous and deny any bail. The policy is intended to keep minor offenses, or nonviolent offenses, from having to go to jail because they couldn’t raise the funds to prevent jail.
You are aware that just because someone is arrested doesn’t mean they are guilty, in fact, a large percentage of any local jail population is made up of people who never even get charged
As the Texas prison population declined they closed a bunch of prisons. With the crime rate increasing during the pandemic I wonder if the prison population will increase again. A neighbor who worked at one of the Beaumont prisons said they closed units which were near others so they could transfer the guards to keep their jobs and staff the prison.

Beaumont has a lot of prisons. IIRC, I passed three on the way from the airport to the hotel. Lots of guards in the hotel bar. LOL
The US has the highest prison rate among First Nations.
IMO, there's something wrong with the Land of the Free having the most prisoners per capita on the planet.
