WSJ Poll: Suburban Women Breaking the GOP’s Way

The economy has always been the dominant issue in the midterms, but the trend recently has been that it’s becoming even more dominant. This is what the new Wall Street Journal poll finds:

The shift in preference for the GOP comes as views of the economy have turned more dour than at any point in the past year. Only 19% say the economy is headed in the right direction, down 11 percentage points from August, while 71% say the economy is on the wrong track. . . .

In other signs of concern about the economy, 64% of poll respondents said that inflation is rising and straining their finances, including 36% who described those strains as major. Both figures are the highest in The Journal’s polling this year. Only 27% of respondents rate the economy as excellent or good, down from 35% in August.


The GOP has seen a shift in its favor among several voter groups, including Latino voters and women, and particularly white suburban women. That group, which the pollsters said makes up 20% of the electorate, shifted 26 percentage points away from Democrats since the Journal’s August poll and now favors the GOP by 15 percentage points.

The best part is they will have no clue why they lost. They will be completely dumbfounded because they have absolutely no self awareness whatsoever. Hilarious.

They seem to actually think people care more about abortion and tranny crap than the economy and how much money people have in their pockets. It's sad to watch them
 
This was once a country where car doors were left unlocked with the keys in them.

Homes were unlocked, many had no locks.

Streets were safe to walk, children could play outside til long after dark.

We are now far from that...citizens are assaulted in their homes and on subways and in the streets.

Mentally ill people are everywhere, assaulting and murdering. Thugs with lengthy violent assault records are not prosecuted or released from prison.

The out of control crime issue is at the top of concerns of the American people.

Coupled with the out of control inflation and borders and recession and loss of energy independence, this election should be a red Tsunami with a huuuge (sic) mandate for Republicans to change the trajectory of domestic policy. Polls show approximately 80% of Americans disagree with the direction of the country.

And for investigations by the Republican House to hold those who brought this to America, accountable.

With the war in Ukraine grinding on and with Putin’s threat to use nuclear weapons, Biden is totally incapable of controlling our foreign policy.

There will be no forgiveness for driving America into the ground and harming hard working Americans.

Grok, there has been no shift by my esposa, a suburban Latina, in favor of any political group...she has always been a Republican.

There has been a shift to the Republicans by our Latino friends and neighbors. Our Black friends and neighbors too.

They are appalled at what Biden and his far left Democrat Socialists have done to America.

It is amazing the size and strength of this shift so near to the election.

Americans are appalled at what these radicals have done to the greatest country on earth.
