That's a twisted take on the current reality in this country where the unspoken "dog whistle", to borrow a term which has oft been used by the left to describe anti-black sentiments that are implied rather than spoken outright, has been that it's not necessarily OK to be white.

Given how often it's been implied that every problem experienced by blacks can be traced back to ongoing, unrelenting racism by whites, it's not difficult to understand how white people might get the impression that blacks and their woke, progressive white supporters feel that it's not OK to be white.

I seem to recall not all that long ago, a big flap that was created by the suggestion from major organizations to their white associates and whites in general, that they should apologize to blacks for their white racism.

In light of all that, I truly do not see how you can say that white people who push back by asserting that it's just as OK for them to feel good about the color of skin they were born with, as it is for blacks to do so, have a problem.

I'm not sure that's what he said.

Sounds to me like he was saying is that if they won't try to accept us, why should we accept them?

And maybe he meant the people who responded to the poll by answering no or not sure as to whether or not it's ok to be white.

I don't want to associate with black people who feel that way either.
