My gosh, that kind of speech should be banned, damn the Constitution. I'm tired of it; no one should be allowed to 'fat shame' or even suggest that a woman might be less able to carry a hefty person down a ladder than a man. Just because standards have been adjusted for 'mis-gendered' folks doesn't mean it's misguided or wrong. We're all supposed to be equal in every conceivable way, and anything less should be illegal. I, for one, was trapped on the third floor of a burning building and just barely made it out alive. I didn't complain at all when the female firefighter couldn't rescue me and had to call for a strong man to get me down the ladder in the nick of time. I have no issues at all if a transgender, female, male, combo, or someone identifying as a goat becomes a firefighter. The only sensible requirement that acknowledges the critical nature of the job where someone's skills and abilities can mean the difference between life and death or massive property damage is that the high physical and mental standards are the same for everyone. PERIOD.
These essential roles that a free and prosperous society has deemed important by the majority, for the benefit of all, have no room for social experiments or DEI initiatives.
