Sure he can (use the same "lie"). After all, Hamas is powerless to do anything about it or to Israel. When it comes to fighting wars, Hamas is the poster child of shit militaries incapable of doing anything relevant to their opponent(s). Probably. On the other hand, finding anyone in Hamas that would be in 'authority' to do the same would likely either be among the corpses or nonexistent.

It's obvious from the hand-over videos that Hamas is undefeated. Hamas also exists outside of Gaza and the West Bank. Killing thousands upon thousands of civilians in Gaza is already biting Israel's sub-human ass worldwide. Same for the USA. Genocidal assholes are unpopular.
