Worth noting that everyone agrees that Metcalf did start the fight. He was very angry that a black kid was allowed to sit quietly.

Everyone agrees that Anthony first retreated once, and Metcalf attacked again, and Anthony pulled out a knife and stabbed Metcalf. The disagreement is whether the N-word was used, but I do not think that is a major issue. There is no such thing as self-defense from the N-word.
