So let's unpack that. First trump says that the opposition are American stooges, thereby hurting their credibility. he is such a narcissist, that he has to make Iran about himself.

But he has sent help, right? Thousands (probably tens of thousands) of opposition members have been killed, and trump has done NOTHING!!!

It is the perfect combination of tearing down the opposition and not actually supporting the opposition. Perfect if you are the Iranian Government. trump is helping them as much as he can.
