Italian PM Giorgia Meloni is proposing a BAN on the Muslim Burka in the country's schools, universities, shops and offices - and strictly regulate the foreign funding of Islamic mosques. They're also going after these ancient customs of forcing virginity test on women before marriage and ending under age marriages of children, just to name a few. I for one am all in for this demand. No woman can visit a Muslim country and not have to adhere to their customs and ways of living. Like wearing a bean bag on your head, not sitting in spaces with Muslim men, must have a man with you to visit certain places and on and on and on....As a matter of fact, women in public have been murdered and jailed for not following Muslim customs. These are their customs and women must follow the shit....so why should HOST nations that allow these ppl into their country, ppl who have fled to their soils for what ever reasons, not have the same expectations and demands?

I for one am fed up with these Muslim who FLEE TO OTHER COUNTRIES and bring all their outdated garbage customs onto soils of their host nation, then expect and demand commendations???. Why leave you're own fuckin country in the first place, if you don't want to adhere to your host country? Why the fuck leave??? Like make it make sense somebody. I am so proud of Italy for standing up to their demands and saying enough is enough. I wish we could do that shit here in America.

FWIW, Italy has been a hot mess since the fall of the Roman Empire. It didn't help that they did a deep-dive into fascism under Mussolini and joined the wrong side n WWII.

As for the ban on face-coverings, Italy is following suit with other Euros. I disagree with it since bans are oppressive, temporary fixes. Not a permanent solution. Another reminder for those who advocate the US be more like Europe. We have a Constitution, and I consider anyone advocating overthrowing our Constitution to be domestic enemies.
