Seems perfectly reasonable to me. Italy is all but officially a Catholic state. Many government processes involve the Catholic church, like marriage, today. So, it is reasonable for them to not tolerate things like the burka, particularly when it comes to things like ID cards, driver's licenses, and the like.

Italy is not the US, and they can impose such rules and laws on those living there.

American women can go to most Muslim nations without being required to wear a a burka or adhere to their social norms. You must be incredibly ignorant.

My wife and I have been to a few and she never once wore a burka. Are you really that uneducated about the world?

Additionally the West is generally proud of freedom. Freedom for women to chose a burka or not, for example.

No wonder TRUMPPERS appear so dumb, they have no idea about the world!

We have to the extent that you cannot wear a burka for things like an official ID photo where your face is covered or partially covered.

This makes sense. What good is an ID photo of someone inside a tent?
 
If an adult chooses to get a "virginity test" before marriage, why would you make a law against it?

This is what happens without a First Amendment, the government steps all over the rights of a minority to protect the status quo.

I wonder if they'll get the trains to run on time too.

Bullshit, depends on the area you visited....areas where tourism is massive, yes, all westerners are allowed to flow freely and that's in countries like Egypt or Saudi where redneck dollars go hand in hand. But countries like Iran, Iraq, etc...that shit ain't popin and you hicks know it.
