Thank God, the PP chickened out again

I think he's aiming at having a strong understanding that this place matters to our security, and it cannot be given away, like Diego Garcia, to China or Russia...

Doing it in his regular "style" which is saying absurd things and using tariffs like they taste good...

In the end he seems to want more security there, and reassurance that our base and security there are paramount.
Lot going on there

First off, why do you think European nations or Canada any longer would think of the US as a partner in defending their sovereignty let along national security? They certainly won’t give up Greenland on Trump’s promises or any deal he proposes, so why wouldn’t NATO want to keep it in Denmark’s possession?

Second, “saying absurd things” is one thing, but talking about invading a sovereign nation in today’s world is just “saying absurd things,” not the way to “make a deal.” And tariffs were intended to aid the domestic economy not to be employed as political leverage

And who knows what Trump wants, earlier in the week he said he wanted Greenland in revenge for Norway not giving him a Nobel prize, the man is not to be trusted on anything

Poor anchovies,
I asked the receptionist, but he just ran away.
Need a link to Trump saying the US would use military force to take over Greenland. I never saw that, but you can straighten this out for us.
If I am wrong, I will apologize for being as stupid as QPeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

He specifically said he would not take force off the table, today he did that. Look it up. I ignored your post because its silly.

He will not use force to take Greenland as he previously suggested.

Hey, if Greenland wants to come into the United States voluntarily, I support that 100%.

I wonder how this plays into his marketing and PR strategy.

I just hope the threats did not cause as much damage as I suspect.
There's not one fuckin economy Donald Trump hasn't managed to taint and fuck up...the last thing he needs is yet another country to fuck up. Greenland gets its GDP from FISHING AND WELFARE PAYMENTS FROM DENMARK. Like make this shit make some fuckin sense, somebody

You're defense of insanity is balanced against your four years of whining about Biden.

The US already has strong security guarantees with Denmark re Greenland....a place Trump called Iceland a few times during his deranged speech in Davos today.

The US can build whatever bases, or reopen bases, in Greenland whenever we like. Trump just wants his name in another place in the history books. That's what this is about; glory for Trump, not national security.

You disregard current history, actually noted in my post, which underlines why he thinks that changes of that magnitude have and can be made by "allies".

Disagreed, but thanks for reaffirming your support for MAGA and their Mammon King.

Lets see, a few recent quotes by Trump regarding taking over Greenland, happening “one way or the other,” “the easy or the hard way,” “I'm not going to give up options,” “No, I never take military force off the table," and this is coming from a guy who just previously said similar things just before he sent the US military into another sovereign nation

And please, spare us the semantical bullshit with the but, but, but he didn’t say exactly he would invade Greenland
