The damage is much lighter than I though. Given their economy pre-war and with widespread destruction to their steel and petrochemical industries as well as the UAE seizing liquid funds I though it would take decades for Iran to recover.

This convinces me that this fruitless ceasefire has to end and more damage must be inflicted on Iran to prevent them from becoming a threat in the future.

Ranger Boy said that in Afghanistan....three failed wars back now.....all of the enfestructure was done by the Russians....who were very very good.

LATEST UPDATE FROM CHINA: Chinese President Xi Jinping message on the US Naval blockade-"We Chinese are a people who uphold justice and are not intimidated by threats of force. We have strong sense or pride and confidence. We have never bullied or oppressed or subjugated people of any other country and never will. By the same token we will never allow any foreign force to bully, oppress or subjugate us. Anyone who would attempt to do so will find themselves on collision force with a great wall of steel forged by over 1.4 billion chinese people."

US BLOCKADE SHATTERED IN THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ Bold Challenge from Beijing: the Chinese tanker Rich Starry, sanctioned by Washington and operated by Shanghai Xuanrun Shipping, has passed through the strategic strait without incident. Loaded with 250,000 barrels of methanol, it marks the first exit from the Gulf since the launch of the US naval blockade ordered by Trump yesterday. Tracking data confirm this slap in the face. China, true to its agreement with Tehran and the warnings from its Ministry of Defense, openly ignores what it calls an illegal blockade. Clear message: Trump does not dictate the rules to Beijing.

The Chinese are builders, they need work, and they are determined to prove that they are better people than we are.

Rebuilding Iran will not be a problem.
