Dying

The USA has always had a large immigrant population. "Give us your tired your huddled masses" remember?

In the past, you imported Negro slaves, exterminated the native peoples from whom you stole land, and discriminated against the Irish, Italian, Jewish, llatin, and Asians you allowed into your country for exploitative purposes.

That is hardly a record to envy.

I am not advocating anarchy. But when men get all the perks and the women have to follow ridiculous rules or risk jail time or being beaten, I am against that wholeheartedly.

You are welcome to criticize our way of life. You are not welcome to impose your ideals upon our people.

When have I tried to impose my/our ideals on your people?

Oh, and I free to criticize anything I choose. It is called Freedom of Speech.

When have I tried to impose my/our ideals on your people?

Your president stated (among other flimsy justifications) to have launched a sneak attack upon our people in order to "liberate" them.

That is when you attempted to impose your ideals on our people.

Oh, and I free to criticize anything I choose. It is called Freedom of Speech.

Do not dare to ask your president questions he does not wish to answer about his cowardly attack on Iran, or suggest that he is not a mighty conquerer.

Our President did exactly as you claim. But I did not. I did not vote for Trump. I voiced my objections to my congressman.

Oh I will ask ANY elected official whatever I want.

Our President did exactly as you claim.

It is not a claim, it is a fact.

But I did not. I did not vote for Trump.

You can no more escape the shame of your nation's actions than the Germans could in 1945.

I voiced my objections to my congressman.

Since neither your congressman or Trump were apparently disposed to take any notice of your opinions, you are in no position to question America's leader, are you?

Oh I will ask ANY elected official whatever I want.

Laughable.

Our population is shrinking, that is true. The main reason is that Americans are choosing not to have kids or have as many.

But considering that the population of Iran is around 91.6 million, and our population is 340 million, I doubt many US citizens are scared.

It is good that you do not require someone to conform to your way of living. But, in Iran, the religious rules must be obeyed or you will pay the price.

Rather than discuss population, how about we discuss freedoms in each country? You know, deciding for yourself?

If half the population is considered a second-class citizen, talking about freedom is ridiculous.
Yep, ask our minorities, or the Iranian non-elite.

You are an old man in a dying nation. You sit in a burning room proclaiming your American exceptionalism. You deceive yourself.

Consider; Iran's median age is younger than fading America's, at roughly 34–35 years, as its population retains a larger youth cohort (about 22–23% under age 15.

Iran's society is thus less burdened by elderly dependency and old fossilized ways of thinking. Your younger men are fewer than ours. They are slothful, physically unfit, and enamored of ease and luxury. Many despise what your mongrel nation has done to humankind and will not fight for you.

We will bury you.
Shut the fuck up asshole,....before you get jacked up just like your former DEAD leader. Winter doesn't cause problems for anyone. He's a decent guy. Pick someone else to harass jackass.

You mean those slaves "you" and some folks from Africa exported? Genius.

There are still slaves in Mauritania that have an "inherited" status though "officially" they abolished slavery it persists. When speaking of slavery Muslims should avoid standing on any pedestal, their fellow Muslims will probably sell them.

Persia (as it was then) is not responsible for the actions of others simply because we are today a majority-Muslim nation.

Is the US guilty of the crimes of the Spanish Inquisition because many of its people are Catholic?

No, Persian (Iranian) slavery was not race-based in the way transatlantic chattel slavery was.

It was not the US version; hereditary, legally codified system that enslaved people solely or primarily on the basis of African ancestry or skin color, with rigid racial hierarchies enforced by law across generations.

Instead, it operated more like slavery in much of the pre-modern Islamic world, as a product of war, conquest, raids, debt, or purchase, where circumstance mattered rather than race.

Slaves came from a wide range of ethnic and "racial" backgrounds—East African (Black), Caucasian (Circassian, Georgian, Armenian—often called "white"), Central Asian, Turkic, and even Iranian captives from internal raids.

No, you do not make a valid excuse for US slavery. US chattel slavery—the race-based, hereditary system of owning people as property, primarily Africans and their descendants, which was embedded in law, economy, and culture from the colonial era through 1865—is indefensible on its own terms. It involved kidnapping, forced labor, family separation, rape, and brutal enforcement, all while the US proclaimed liberty and equality.

Pointing elsewhere doesn't erase or justify that. It's a crude 'whataboutism' rebuttal.

You must know that Africans themselves exported slaves to the transatlantic trade.

Yes. European traders (Portuguese, British, Dutch, French, etc.) did not typically raid the African interior themselves. They bought captives at coastal forts from African kingdoms, merchants, and warlords who captured people through intertribal wars, raids, and debt.

Slavery was already entrenched in many West and Central African societies long before Europeans arrived. Demand from American plantations fueled the trade, and African suppliers actively participated for profit, guns, and goods. Historians estimate 10–12 million Africans were transported across the Atlantic; African — not Iranian—complicity is well-documented. The fact that some of the traders were Muslim does not excuse US hypocrites in any way.

Slavery (ownership of people as property) was legally abolished in Iran in 1929—long before the Islamic Revolution. Unlike Mauritania, where descent-based slavery persists openly despite official bans, Iran has no equivalent inherited slave caste.

But the US is widely-known as a racist society to this day.

LOL. Nothing says "you are right" like hearing someone try to explain away their own actions as some sort of "whataboutism".... You can do better than this. I've seen it in the past.

You laugh, but you know you have failed to excuse America's racist ethos.
Nobody is excusing anything. The only thing done is pointing out that populations with current slavery really need to get off pedestals before their compatriots sell them. Apparently folks do not realize that they are just platforms to display the wares.

Iran does not claim Mauritania as a province. Are you confused?
It does claim membership among Muslim nations though... Either remove the plank from your own eye first, or not. What I do know is that when it comes to slavery Muslims should avoid trying to claim any moral high ground. They were the people that sold the slaves, that gathered the slaves, and that currently have slaves. So... Do something about it, or not... but your argument is weak leftist "evil Americentric" blather that considers nothing of the customs of the population that you pretend to be part of.

Weak.

No, that argument is pure intellectual dishonesty.

It is textbook guilt-by-association, a weak fallacy that collapses under the slightest scrutiny.

Iran bears zero responsibility for Mauritania’s ongoing hereditary chattel slavery.

The two countries share the label “Islamic Republic” and a majority-Muslim population, but thats is where the connection ends.

Doubtless this is what inspired your effort.

Lumping us together as “both Muslim nations” and declaring Iran “guilty” is the same lazy logic that would make every mostly-Christian country complicit in the transatlantic slave trade, every African nation responsible for pre-colonial African slavery, or every European country answerable for Belgium’s atrocities in the Congo.

You are not an honest analyst; your argument is a slothful rhetorical shortcut.

Pointing out that you are neither Muslim or Iranian is not intellectually dishonest. Pointing out that a Muslim posting this drivel would be trying to blame others for actions they eagerly participated in is also not "intellectually dishonest"...

You saying that it is "intellectually dishonest" doesn't accurately name any motivation or action of any other participant than yourself.
