Barney Frank was instrumental in creating the home mortgage crisis. He lied about the solvency of Fannie and Freddie. The man was arrogant and incompetent.

Darn you Damo, your posts piqued my curiosity so I took Desh off of ignore just for a minute. Glad to see nothing has changed with her.

You really have to love her cognitive dissonance. She is bemoaning people criticizing Barney Frank yet she revels in the death of Charlie Kirk because she deems him a racist and as such justifies anything she posts, says or does. It is truly a spectacle of psychological observation.

Worth noting that I haven't seen one post in this thread that even comes close to approaching the vitriol lobbed when Charlie Kirk was assassinated and Desh is literally losing her mind.

Well, that was amusing, but back on ignore she goes. Life is too short to deal with her level of insanity.

Yeah, I don't care about him being married to a man. He had a stepchild (daughter), and likely some grandchildren. I do not know if there was a relationship past her age of adulthood or not.

Whether he does or not, his husband had a daughter. And no it is not "impossible" for a gay man to have bio kids. That's just stupid. While Barney Frank did not, he did have a stepldaughter.

It is interesting to see how things play out on this board. Obviously the anonymity and the freedom you provide to all sides is rare and allows for behavior that would never be tolerated or probably even tried in real life. I myself am guilty. Prior to my self imposed absence from here I said things that I look back on and am embarrassed about. I make no excuses other than I allowed the sheer anonymity and emotion to overwhelm my good common sense. The long break from here was needed and welcomed. I think most would notice that I am a very different poster than I was before I left. The snark will never go away.

But, Desh literally hasn't changed one iota since I first came to this board. Which is astonishing when you think about it. I have often wrestled with the notion that she can't be real. Nobody can be this crazy. But, I have come to believe that she really is this crazy. She really believes the crazy shit she spouts here. I couldn't even imagine encountering someone like this in real life. I don't think I could get to an exit fast enough.

Oh well, back to ignore with her. It was cute, but she is way too out there to allow on my screen.

While the "shield" of an anonymous website definitely brings out the worst in people's thoughts, I see this sort of thing in person too. I work in a leftist city with a leftist coworker (he doesn't know that I'm not a leftist, though) and he has full blown TDS. He obsesses over Trump's words/actions and absolutely hates the guy to the point that he's joked about the assassination attempts (wishing that they "wouldn't miss" next time).

It's sad just how much hatred plenty of people will harbor in their hearts. And in other aspects of his life, he's a decent guy who isn't filled with hatred at all. It's just when it comes to whatever the TV screen gets him all riled up about (which in the present day is Trump)...
