Investigators are reviewing the authenticity of a 75-page manifesto allegedly written by Caleb Vasquez, 18, and Cain Clark, 17, the two teenagers suspected of killing three people outside the Islamic Center of San Diego on Monday before dying by apparent suicide, according to law enforcement officials.
Authorities are investigating the attack as a hate crime.
The document, viewed by JNS and titled “The New Crusade: Sons of Tarrant,” appears to reference Brenton Tarrant, the gunman who killed 51 worshippers at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, in 2019. The manifesto contains neo-Nazi, antisemitic and racist rhetoric and praises mass killers, including Tree of Life synagogue shooter Robert Bowers and Adolf Hitler.

Thank the gods for the security people and the lightning fast response from the police. On the news last night they said that one of the shooter's moms had notified them police earlier that day that the kid was suicidal and had run off, taking the family's firearms. How much worse this could have been makes me shudder.

The two young men who killed three people at a San Diego mosque on Monday published a conspiracy theory-filled manifesto whose primary focus was on Jews, calling them the “universal enemy.”
The manifesto’s contents also suggest they may have had additional plans to target Jewish institutions.
The 74-page manifesto, which contains a section written by each shooter, reveals a wide-ranging hatred rooted in white Christian nationalist ideas, including Great Replacement Theory, and fueled by the two teenagers’ own social alienation. Among the other groups attacked in the document are Muslims, women, Black people, gay and transgender people, and immigrants.
