There was no need for her to walk away the next day.... I'm sure the time frame is carefully considered to make a transition to the next person... And be able to be there for him at the same time...

Trump unsuccessfully made a counterclaim and appealed to the Second Circuit. In November 2025, he asked the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn the verdict.

In July 2023, Judge Kaplan said that the verdict found that Trump had raped Carroll according to the common definition of the word, i.e. not necessarily implying penile penetration.In August 2023, while dismissing the counterclaim, Kaplan wrote that Carroll's accusation of rape is "substantially true".
