Poppies

Ten years in Houston and I’ve not seen anyone selling poppies for Memorial Day. It seems Americans aren’t buying or selling the flowers like they use to in the past.

Have you seen vets selling poppies?
No, Haven't seen them for years. I do remember when growing up and WWI vets were still alive people wore them

Too many people were making poppy seed tea.

To wear, or sell as a whole? I love poppies and grow them, but would never let people cut up my plant babies just to wear them.

Poppies are usually made by the VFW AUG. and sold to help support their Vet, origination.
MY Girl friend is President of our AUG and has been busy making and getting the guys and girls of the AUG. out to sell them.
 
I didn't know poppies were a Men Day tradition
In England and Canada it's called "Remembrance Day." Poppies are a traditional part of this:
