Did Trump announce a deal? I seem to recall him saying they were close, but it appears they aren't.

Here is what you need to understand. Trump can afford to patient. Iran can't

They were working towards developing missiles and nuclear warheads. The uranium they had was enriched to 60% and they were developing and building longer range missiles.
I did not, wasn't even here, and I never did anyway, because I knew it was bullshit.

In all seriousness if this holds it's a massive win for the world and especially for us. Sure, Iran lies every single time they sign any deal but so how could this work? Trump isn't some idiot desperate for a photo op deal who takes their word for it then pretends they'll magically comply and do the right thing like his predecessors. He's made it crystal clear the guns and bombs stay locked and loaded until and only if they actually keep every promise. It's trust but verify in real time.

Despite the idiots in the media and elsewhere Trump stands alone as the only leader who actually hammered Iran hard and hit them three times in ways that mattered. The first strike buried years of their work and cash under tons of granite leaving them in real pain. The second one was even worse destroying over twenty thousand targets and flushing away decades of effort money and infrastructure in one brutal go. Then came the blockade the knockout punch that finished the job.

While the usual suspects whine about billions in unfrozen assets they ignore that Iran has been bleeding close to a billion dollars every two days just in lost oil sales alone. This so-called relief is nothing more than us unlocking the very funds we froze at the start of Economic Fury. That's not weakness it's leverage pure and simple. Trump squeezed them from every angle smashing their assets crippling their cash flow and choking their economy until they had no choice but to drop to their knees and spit out that desperate statement.

It seems you are going to ignore that the IAEA was monitoring and inspecting Iran from when the deal was put in place until Trump tore it up.

Iran gave up its highly enriched uranium and reduced down the number of centrifuges it had.


The January report highlighted that Iran
had reduced the number of centrifuges installed down to the ceiling allowed it in the JCPOA; had
dismantled, or “removed”, the remainder, including their associated operating equipment for continuous
monitoring by the Agency; had exported out of Iran (to Russia) its entire stock of enriched uranium in excess
of the 300 kg allowed by the JCPOA (from almost 12 tons); and had dismantled the core of the Arak heavy
water reactor and taken the steps outlined in the JCPOA to make it irreversibly unusable (by filling it with
concrete).
