Grandpa Pudding Brains says he's "studied" circumcision for a long time

America's ongoing experiment in handing microphones to cranks took another turn when RFK Jr. floated the thoroughly debunked claim that early circumcision doubles autism risk, prompting Donald Trump to claim expertise on the matter as only he can: "I've studied this a long time."

What that study consisted of remains mercifully unspecified, but few exchanges better capture the current state of right-wing governance than one conspiracy enthusiast offering junk medical folklore while another instantly claims a deep personal research background in infant circumcision.

"Grandpa Pudding Brains," that's perfect.

Are they “getting autism” or are they just diagnosing it more?
Well from what I have read they are getting it more often,
My son has autism so I have done a lot of reading on it, and back when they first told us he had it hardly anybody knew what it was, we had a group of about 15 Dr.s at Children's Hosp. discuss his case and none of them knew much about it, it was an intern who spoke up and told them he had just been studying it and my son was a classic example .
Then they looked into it and finally after a week or so they said that is what he had.
And back then as I said it was 1 in every 2700 boys were getting it now is less then 1 in 27.
Another thing since they took the mercury preservative out of a lot of most shots kids get now a days it rate has seem to start going down.

My reading, it was misdiagnosed for years, and they are getting better at diagnosis.
I have also read a lot because my nephew is a high functioning autistic and our neighbor was autistic. My son was also an aide and worked with autistic children.

Mercury and autism is a myth. There were very few vaccines that contained mercury.

Trump is the worst kind of dumb.

No hyperbole intended but being dumb is not always a big issue as long as you know you are dumb and allow those smarter than you to lead in the areas of their expertise. So a dumb person who concedes the Dr should be making the medical decisions, and not him, is just fine in society.

Trump is that brand of dumb who is too dumb to realize he is dumb and thus thinks he, and not the Dr, or Scientist, or 'Mechanic', etc, should be making the decisions and instead he, Trump should, because he read stuff online and has opinions and then assumes because he has formed opinions they are are as valid or better than any study an expert does.

All of us throughout our work careers have almost certainly worked with people with that Trump type of dumb. The person who will not let the 'experienced' person or 'expert' lead or speak as they think they know they better.

Well as you said they are getting better at diagnosis that could have a lot to do with it. As for the mercury thing back when my son came down with it we took him to the DRs for his shots and he got the MRR shot and we took him home and with in a couple of hours he had a 104 temp and after we got that taken care of you could see him with draw like back into himself , sit on the floor, wouldn't talk , started rocking , and earlier that day he was out in the pool playing with the other kids yelling having fun.
So seeing that, it would / will be very hard to convince me those shots didn't have something to do with it.

He likes gazing at pictures of them and fantasizing for hours on end.

Dick pics are his favorite kind of pics.
