There are two mutually exclusive theories, neither of which is a theory of science:

The Theory of the Big Bang, which states the Universe started from some kind of small point and 'expanded' from there. There are a few problems with this theory. The first is that there is no universe for a causing event to exist. The second is that there are no known boundaries of the universe.

The Theory of the Continuum, which states the Universe has always existed and always will. Most people have trouble getting their heads wrapped around this due to the infinite nature of the Universe.

When God created the Sun and the planets, nothing precludes that He created any kind of universe for them. No mention is made in any scripture of such an event.

This galaxy is just one of innumerable galaxies. There is no known boundary.
