Up to election day, and on election day, in California the voting runs something like 55% Democrat, 45% Republican, at most. Then the counting starts and 'late' ballots arrive in the tens, even hundreds, of thousands. With these, the voting is more like 85 to 90% Democrat and 10 to 15% Republican. I guess, even for the Democrats, having it be 99 to 100% Democrat votes would be too obvious.

You still cannot learn. If you dump a bunch of ballots, they cannot be counted. They have to be assigned to a precinct. If you put some random precinct on the ballot, it cannot be counted. The person who you pretend has a vote, will not be in the precinct log book. If the precinct gets 50 votes with the same name, a cop is called. This is just a primary. The top two vote-getters advance to the general election. It doesn't ultimately matter if Republican Hilton finishes first place or second. One way or the other he and Bacerra are both guaranteed to advance and face off in the general election.

Explain exactly why Democrats would commit massive felony vote fraud just to put Bacerra in first place when it doesn't really matter if he is first or second place. Either way Baccera and Hilton are both advancing to the general election.

If the outcome is changed from what it is right now to where the Republican candidates are in third place, the governor's and LA mayor's race becomes a vote between a Leftist and a radical Leftist, both nominally Democrats. That's how California's top two system works. My bet is in the next couple of weeks the race narrows as Pratt and Hilton lose ground rapidly with something close to 80% of the votes (an impossibly high percentage) counted after election day going to one or another nominally Democrat candidate. Both are under 10% ahead of the third-place challenger meaning both could possibly lose their lead and be removed from the race.


Because retaining power is more important that holding free, open, and fair elections. That is a universal with the Left, and the Left are, today, Democrats. It does matter if Steyer edges out Hilton, even by a very slim margin. And that margin is possible. In fact, I'd say the Democrats are counting on it happening.

We are literally watching the stealing of an election right in front of our eyes. They can't make it obvious so the ballot drops have to come in dribs and drabs so people eventually get worn down.

Worry about your own state.

You and your buddies were complaining about this specific election. This was not some theoretical discussion about the vagaries of state election law.

At this point the vote count is practically a formality. Your Republican Steve Hilton is virtually guaranteed to advance to the general election, whether he places first or second in this primary. There is no incentive to cheat by boosting Democrat Bacerra from second to first place.
