I, on the other hand, have given out exactly one thumb's up to a post since the board transitioned to this format. One. That has meaning.

I know this isn't what you were talking about - The Earth generates an electromagnetic field, generated by the Earth's core. The field keeps radiation from our sun and other bad stuff from killing all of us!
