The Hormuz Report

@HormuzReport

BREAKING: A source close to Iran's chief negotiator says Tehran is actively weighing a preemptive strike against Israel—with the military on its highest alert and hundreds of missiles and drones prepared for a coordinated attack.The source said intelligence suggests Netanyahu, facing October elections, may attack Iran again to boost his domestic standing. With a new U.S. amphibious deployment in the Gulf, and Tehran viewing JD Vance's admission that the ceasefire is just a "tactical pause" as proof that U.S. diplomacy is a bluff, Iran sees the posturing as a direct existential threat."Iran is done waiting. Military bases across the Gulf have already been hit hard before. This time, the focus shifts entirely to Israel—hundreds of missiles and drones in a single, overwhelming strike. A simultaneous closure of the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb is also on the table".Iran is ready. The trigger finger is on the button.

It is being rebuilt fast with our money. We are buying their oil for the first time in decades.
The US has said that they would be willing to buy Irans sour crude, Iran has said that they will not rule it out but they are going to take care of their Asian customers first.....I am not aware of any sales to America to date.

On our Monday show
@chrismartenson
estimated we would reach this SPR-decision-point moment by about 11 July. Looks to be right about on schedule. Why President Trump took this moment to prove how tough he is and blast Iran “20-1” response and canceling the energy sanctions waiver on Iranian oil sales - knowing it would thrust us to the edge of energy crisis point is unclear. Almost seems as if he’s *trying* to spark a recession (or worse)…

BTW I saw a report today that the salt caverns were damaged in the Biden era withdrawals.....they took too much out too fast.....the massive amounts of water that was pumped in did the damage.

BREAKING: Qatar pauses efforts to revive production at the world's largest LNG facility after Iran struck one of its tankers in the Strait — proving the waterway is still too risky, per Bloomberg.QatarEnergy paused operations at Ras Laffan after Tuesday's drone attack on the Qatari vessel Al Rekayyat. Eleven empty LNG tankers are now stranded outside the terminal.Asian LNG prices are up 80% since the war began. Europe's benchmark hit €50 per megawatt-hour for the first time since the truce.Qatar supplied about a fifth of the world's LNG last year. Two of its 14 trains were already damaged — repairs estimated at three to five years. The remaining 12 are intact but useless if the Strait remains contested.

I am not a big fan of Horton, but this looks right:

Trump Tries to Project Strength — but negotiates on Iran's Terms. In this new Deep Dive clip, Scott Horton (
@scotthortonshow
) breaks down the reality almost no one in Washington wants to admit: President Trump is now negotiating on Iran’s terms from a position of weakness,not America’s.Scott points out that when Trump announced the ceasefire, he openly said “we’re going to negotiate on their plan for coming to terms.” And the MOU reflects exactly that. As Scott explains, “the MOU is virtually all their gain — all they have to do is reopen the Strait under their new rules, and we’ve got to do every approved thing in there.”Trump’s posture has flipped so dramatically that Scott describes it as “like a cat that slams into the screen door… of course I meant to do that.” In other words, Trump may try to spin a strategic retreat as a masterstroke — but the reality is unmistakable: Iran now sets the rules in the Gulf, and the U.S. is operating inside those constraints.Scott warns that for Trump to keep pretending he’s in control, he would have to “really lose face on the new status quo in the Gulf.” That’s the political cost he’s trying to avoid — AND THE STRATEGIC TRUTH HE CANNOT ESCAPE. This clip matters because it exposes the core shift in the Iran war: The U.S. no longer has the unilateral power to *dictate* terms. Iran has agency. And the longer Washington pretends otherwise, the more dangerous the Middle East conflict becomes.

This is almost certainly, utter fiction — and bad fiction that: the idea that immediately after tens of millions of Iranians came out in massive support for the funeral of their assassinated supreme leader, that the Iranian negotiators took that moment to call President Trump and beg for forgiveness and admit they “made a mistake“?How can anyone believe that? This kind of deception and misinformation to get to the American public to believe president Trump is somehow calling the shots, is a lie, but also harms out interests. Such willful deception continues to degrade trust in our government, and at worst, deceives people into thinking negotiations have a chance, when there is no chance, further degrades trust in US government.It’s not hard to understand the realities here, folks. We tried 40 days and 40 nights of bombing and did not knock Iran out of control of the SOH. We tried months of a naval blockade, and that was equally a failure. Now we’ve tried this MOU, and Iran still retains control of the SOH.In what universe will a side that retains control of the biggest piece of leverage in a war, suddenly come begging to the side that has failed?They didn’t, they won’t, and the longer our president lives in fantasy land that they will, the deeper our strategic loss will eventually be.

Alexander Mercouris says he has proof that Iran strikes on genocidal jew air bases will take months to repair. That means the jew colony won't be able to bomb women and children until September.

This is good news to me but bad news for US taxpayers who will fund the repairs.
