You concept of physics still stuck on the vague idea of Galileo dropping stones from the Tower of Pisa.
Particles don't get their mass from some inherent property of matter.
Particles get their mass from interacting with the universal Higgs field.
The Higgs field is an inherent property of the universe, and exists independently of matter, independently of space and time, and independently of the human mind.
So the universe is permeated by fields that are inherent to the universe and behave in accordance with rational mathematical relationships.
You will have a hard time explaining how these universal, rational properties just popped into existence by inanimate, irrational, random chance.
