Everyone understands that Socialism is not Communism, right?

For days now, The Sleepy PP, has tried to equate the two, you do know they are not the same thing, right?
No fucktard, because they are the same thing.

And once again to make the more meaningful point...

Democratic Socialism is NOT Socialism and is actually closer to the Corporate Democracy version we have lived under for most of our lives, where almost everything stays the same except for a shift in how tax payer funds are allocated.

Corporate Democracy pushes tax receipts up to the Oligarchs and corporations and military.
Democratic Socialism pushes the same tax dollars down to working people, and infrastructure while better balancing the tax paying burden to ensure the oligarchs pay a fare share.

False, a combination of Capitalism and Socialism has done that. Are you suggesting we don’t have socialist elements in our economic system?
Not false. How the fuck would you pay for the shit you want to give away with your socialist programs if not for capitalism. Id say dont be stupid but look who Im talking to. Im not suggesting it Im lamenting it. If I had every dollar that was stolen from me to pay for SS i would have retired at least a decade ago.

You paid Tax in part to keep America a place where you can make money.

Democratic Socialism easily solves the question you ask there.

The problem isnt taxes, the problem is what they are spent on. This is why its nearly impossible to talk sensibly to you people. I make money and the govt forcibly takes a larger and larger portion of it to do things they have no constitutional authority to do. I will say it AGAIN, if I could have kept every dollar that I had paid into SS I would have retired at least a decade ago.

Ok fair enough. Couple questions. What is "a fair share"? Why does income have to be taxed?

This is why socialism keeps drifting toward communism.

It has no limiting principle.

In 1910, the federal government needed roughly $7.50 per person to operate.

Today, federal spending is around $20,500 per person.

And somehow the same people still insist the problem is that government does not have enough money, enough power, or enough control.

At what point is it enough?

That question never gets answered, because there is no “enough” in this worldview.

When the state promises more than society can sustainably produce, it does not admit failure and shrink. It demands more control.

First it needs more taxes.

Then more borrowing.

Then more money printing.

Then more regulation.

Then price controls, wage controls, rent controls, energy controls, banking controls, capital controls, and eventually control over the industries themselves.

Because once the government makes itself responsible for fixing every hardship, every shortage, every inequality, and every bad outcome, private ownership becomes an obstacle to the plan.

That is the road from “we just want fairness” to “the state must control production.”

It is not an accident. It is the logical endpoint of a system with no brakes.

The promises never stop. The spending never stops. The blame never stops.

And when reality finally catches up, they do not blame the ideology.

They blame the people who still have something left to take.

Democratic Socialism is NOT Socialism
It is socialism.

There is no such thing as 'Corporate Democracy'.
where almost everything stays the same except for a shift in how tax payer funds are allocated.

Democratic Socialism pushes the same tax dollars down to working people,
Communism never works. You steal from the working people.
and infrastructure while better balancing the tax paying burden to ensure the oligarchs pay a fare share.
Any 'tax the rich' scheme is unconstitutional, Kewpie.
It is YOU wanting an oligarchy.

Example of what they have done that is unconstitutional.

They have no authority for depts of education, energy, transportation to name a few. There is no authority to take money from me to pay retirement benefits to older people. On top of that taxing income is evil.
