Many a kid has had a paper route,mowed a lawn for pay, washed cars for pay, run a lemonade stand for pay, or apprenticed at a family business.
They learn a work ethic. They learn they can get extra money for what they want, too.

I am not talking about toll highways specifically, Lefty. Pay attention.
A toll road is not necessarily a failure. They have been used to cover the cost of building the bridge or highway, and they work. Once paid off, the toll is removed.
Every bridge, every highway, every freeway, every city street, is built and maintained by capitalists.
Every wastewater treatment plant, every freshwater treatment plant, every bit of plumbing and pumps connecting such systems, are built and maintained by capitalists.
Every government building, including it's plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural systems is built by capitalists.
Every gun, bullet, or weapon used by the military is built by capitalists.
Every locomotive, every train car, every length of rail, every switch or crossing, and even the ties, are built by capitalists.
Every fire engine, every police car, every computer in them, every bit of medical gear and rescue gear in them, is built by capitalists.
